Favorite Live Metal Albums

Jamming live albums this weekend. Some of my favs. Recs appreciated.
10Opeth
The Roundhouse Tapes

Better than Lamentations. Live Opeth is better than studio Opeth no matter what though. Worth it for the great performance of Ghosts of Perdition alone.
9Cannibal Corpse
Live Cannibalism

Best versions of Hammer Smashed Face, Stripped Raped & Strangled, and Gallery of Suicide I've ever heard. Runs a little long though.
8Iced Earth
Alive in Athens

Way better than any of their studio albums. Jon Schaeffer was in fine form this night.
7Nevermore
The Year of the Voyager

Excellent live recording. Missing a lot of essential songs, or I would like it more. I wish they would have played more older songs like Seven Tongues of God instead of some of the filler from This Godless Endeavor.
6Vader
And Blood was Shed in Warsaw

Great guitar tone and the solos are excellent in the mix. Runs a little long for me or it would be ranked higher.
5Exodus
Another Lesson in Violence

Live recording of the entire Bonded by Blood album. Great riffs, awesome solos. Better recording with more energy than the original.
4 Suffocation
Close of a Chapter

Great recording, excellent guitar tone. This version of Funeral Inception is absolutely crushing.
3Pantera
Official Live: 101 Proof

Captures the energy and commraderie of a live Pantera show. Phil Anselmo is great between songs as well.
2 Ozzy Osbourne
Live & Loud

Highlights of Ozzy's solo and Sabbath career with Zakk Wylde on guitar. Ozzy's between song banter is great.
1Slayer
Decade of Aggression

Contains songs from every release up to Seasons in the Abyss. Great sound, great energy. No essentials missing, IMO.
