These are what I've been listening to most lately. Hopefully you guys
find something worth checking out
This album is so dark, and at times I feel like it doesn't quite know what it
aspires to be but regardless it's intriguing. I'm very drawn to it
This album isn't quite meant to be dissected, but rather enjoyed in the
sunlight with friends. I just wish Janelle had a more prominent part...
Best EP of 2012, I call it.
Some Divine Ashtray
Mathcore living vicariously through other subgenres, and it all works out for
the best in the end
So jazzy, so wanky, so rejuvenating.
|6||Maps & Atlases|
Beware and Be Grateful
This is a hell of a fun time, and will shine on long after its rather short-lived
hypetrain putters out of fuel
Miles better than their boring debut, come at me broseph
|8||Children of Nova|
This landscape is rather impossible to appreciate, seeing as it's iincredibly
redundant post-hardcore with post-rock leanings (oh god, imagine that!)
Just 'cuz I dig it don't mean I love it
|9||Mouse on the Keys|
An Anxious Object
This is so good, and so crazy
Yeah ignore that album title and dance to this already
Anarchy, My Dear
Yea haters, I'm reppin' it
|12|| ||Sea Oleena|
Very dreamy pop that it's easy to lose yourself in
The God Particle
These fucking guys. This little snippet is incredible.
Red In Tooth & Claw
Have to prepare for their new album.
Be In love
This is unprecedented, but turning out to be my favorite of the year thus far
The Golden Archipelago
New album was a major disappointment after this masterpiece
|19||Tides of Man|
Still makes me happy.
Blinding White Noise
Not as keen on the vocals here, but these guys still deserve some
recognition for this one
|17/20 --- 85%.|
Will help my GPA
|Weird, when I listen to fIN the last thing I think of is "dark". Right now its the ultimate summer album for me|
|yeah, I don't feel the darkness too, fIn has a good vibe|
nice digs man, 18 is in my list to check
|My ultimate summer album atm is The Avalanches-Since I Left you or The Prodigy- Fat of the Land|
|Scissor, definitely check it out. It's as calming as its artwork, which is saying something.|
And Dev, that's strange. I get a really ominous, brooding feel from lots of it. Sure, there are tracks that are really bright like Journeys. But overall songs like the intro track feel so dark
Don't get me wrong, though, I will be blasting it this summer x)
|The artwork for 18 is pretty. Checking it out now (not just because of the artwork, of course)|
|Don't be ashamed, it's sometimes necessary to judge the book by its cover. ;]|
|good list, I still need to check a few of these out, mainly 12 and 15|
have you heard the new bansheebeat track?
|That Sithu Aye EP is really good. Thanks for bringing it to my intention!|
Kindred is still slightly better though...
|15's revolutionary (over-exaggeration but it's still incredible) and 12 is pretty cool but haven't sunk my teeth into it quite yet. Maybe I'll review it at some point.. Also want to cover the new Shpongle|
And I haven't, but I'd love to hear it. Lol, I just need to add you on Facebook
|Clercqie, my pleasure! It deserves all the attention it can garner. Did you hear it when I reviewed it or just now?|
And I just don't care for Burial, man. Call me crazy.
and just sent you a friend request on fb
|and you're crazy|
|When you reviewed it ;)|
Nice work btw!
|obama jams slayer|
|Thanks Clercqie! :]] you checked out Cassini yet? It's good, but Isles is better.|
And Spec, I was just waiting for that so thank you
|Of course I checket it out, it's for free! :p|
They're about on par imo
