02.24.12 | welcome to Miami, Lin!
Knicks fans are so dumb/naive. |

02.24.12 | did he get his ass kicked finally |

02.24.12 | dude looked terrible tonight. |
Trebor.
02.24.12 | He's horrible at driving to the basket |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | He's turning the bal over 7 times a game.
Yeah, that's a formula for winning. |
MO
02.24.12 | itès funny that someone can rise so fast, and then fall just as fast, I still think the kid is insanely talented |
pmmets07
02.24.12 | it's called an off night... i don't think anybody expected him to put up 20+ pts every night. having as many turnovers as points is a problem, though. |
MO
02.24.12 | yea pretty much |
ReturnOfTheDnor
02.24.12 | Miami Fans. God I love us. |
SahFriendly
02.24.12 | Miami fans are douches.
Jeremy Lin played terribly but, living in Miami and being fans of the heat is nothing to be proud of.
Dude plays about 42 minutes a night, been doing so for the last 11 games and is the only point guard
they have, he's going to turn the ball over and considering he just started his 12th game in his nba
career averaging 42 minutes 23pts 8asts and 7turnovers, I'd said that's pretty amazing at this point. |
pmmets07
02.24.12 | his stats are pretty legendary at this point. i don't like hate miami BUT they're fun as hell to
watch. and i do like bosh. |
robertsona
02.24.12 | i knew watching the knicks would get shitty again as soon as anthony + stoudemire came back |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | He can't handle the ball.
He can't handle full court pressure.
Ever since Carmelo's return, he's done nothing but turn the ball over.
I'm not debating he talented, I'm just saying ESPN and Knicks Nation need to calm the fuck down.
Sahfriendly, sounds like your jealous. I'm not supposed to be proud of being from Miami? I can't be proud of the best team in the league? Get the fuck out.
|
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | And averaging 7 TO's a game isn't good, rookie nor vet. |
SahFriendly
02.24.12 | I do think he has been playing out his skull, but I think that we forget he's basically a rookie in terms of playing time. I'm a big cavs fan so naturally I hate the shit out of the heat. I'm just saying 11 pretty outstanding games and 1 bad one is pretty great. |
SahFriendly
02.24.12 | Obviously he can handle the ball.
He didn't handle full court pressure and the increased attention of Miami's defenders, but normally
when a player gets game planned like that it's up to his teammates to make plays.
Dude is gassed he's played so much and done so much in a small amount of time and he's in his second
year. I'm not jealous of the miami heat I hate practically everything about the way their team was
assembled and their shitty fair weather fans.
I'm not even really a big knicks fan, I just think the dude has played well and to pretend like he's
shitty and dismiss after everything he's done so far is misguided ignorance. |
FreePizzaDay
02.24.12 | No one would be critical of this guy or his performance if ESPN and the rest of the sports journalism world didn't praise him endlessly for his, what, 10 good games? This shit is the most boring cycle in sports. Some up and coming young talent starts playing well, ESPN proclaims them to be the chosen one in a matter of days, and then fans get sick of hearing about how great said person is and are happy to see the person brought back down to earth. |
LifeAsAChipmunk
02.24.12 | Here, I was hoping that something like sports wouldn't be as volatile of a discussion as one of religion or politics... My bad.
People need to calm down. |

02.24.12 | r.i.p. knicks motley crew vibe feat. fields, lin, novak etc circa 2 weeks ago |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | "I'm not jealous of the miami heat I just hate how their team was assembled and their shitty fair weather fans"
Lol are you sure your not jealous? And I love the "fair weather fan" criticism. I didn't hear Cleveland fans crying when all of a sudden their stadium started selling out in '03, after years of being in the bottom of the NBA in attendance. |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | Pizza, of course no one would be critical of this guy without ESPN. Thanks for the obvious. |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | And Sah, no one said he was shitty. It's like this: instead of crowning someone the king of NY after only 11 games, how about we give him a full season? Stop buying into hype and be patient. You can't tell me that an NBA player is great after only 11 games, no mattter how great he played for those 11 games. If hype was real, Harold Miner would be the 2nd best player the NBA has ever seen. |

02.24.12 | lol basketball |

02.24.12 | "He's turning the bal over 7 times a game.

8-3, worked so far.... |
theacademy
02.24.12 | haha look at the big man talking shit because lebron/wade/bosh beat up an asian kid who played at harvard
|
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | Against mostly under-.500 quads, except for the Lakers(who are falling apart), Dallas(old), and Atlanta. And it's actually 8-4 now. He's skirted buy so far, but let's see what happens when he actually plays a team that plays heavy, heavy defense, like the heat. Ever since getting to 15-15, the team is 2-3.
And I love how you abandoned the "fair weather fan" argument. You finally realize how dumb and naive that thought is? |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | He might know karate, acad.
And I think the Heat have laid the blueprint for how to stop this kid: pressure him all the way up and down the court. |

02.24.12 | the thunder are so obviously winning it all this year |

02.24.12 | That's such an unbelievable, horribly thought out statement, acad. Everyone thought they had the west won last year and look what happened.
Good Cone, and you? |

FreePizzaDay
02.24.12 | "Pizza, of course no one would be critical of this guy without ESPN. Thanks for the obvious."
So if we acknowledge that this player is all artificial hype produced by a network that likes to blow things out of proportion, why is it even relevant when he has a bad game? I'm going to hear all about it on ESPN for weeks and I'm not even sure why I or anyone else would care, outside of maybe New York. I assume you made this list as a Heat fan and that's cool, but no one else has any excuse at all. |

02.24.12 | Lol are you serious, Acad? Lol the Heat have 2 of the top 3 players in the league, and the third is proving himself to be top 10-15. They have a bench that goes 3-4 deep, and all 3-4 of them have the potential to put up 10-15 pts and/or reb's a game. We have a PG leading the league in 3 pt % at 44%(which is ridiculous). So how can you tell me the Thunder have the Heat's #?
I know you don't have a clue what you're talking about because you said the Thunder have 6 of the top 9 players in the league. That's just downright dumb. I love ya, acad, but datz jus ig'nant. |
FreePizzaDay
02.24.12 | All true, plus the Heat have the best D. |
theacademy
02.24.12 | yeah lebron's decent during the regular season but we've all seen what happens when his team's in the playoffs
so basically, after wade and chalmers, you really have nothing.
the thunder have 4 players better than wade, and 2 about as good as chalmers and better than anyone else on the heat. u have no chance lol. |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | Acad, you must be trolling, or doing some insane drug that makes you so unstable not even a street dealer would sell it. |

02.24.12 | Oklahoma isn't as invincible as you think they are. Thunder are irrelavnt since the HEat are walking out with a championship this year. Time to start planning for the parade. |

02.24.12 | better iron out all the wrinkles in your assless chaps YOU MIGHT GET ON THE TELEVISION |
FrankRedHot
02.24.12 | James is a better all around player than Durant.
Wade/Chalmers is a better combination than Westbrook/Harden, only because Wade is miles ahead of both of OKC's guards.
Bosh/Haslem would dominate Ibaka/Collison
I'll give ya Perkins, but if the Heat go out aand grab Kaman, Perkins can't rest in the paint and shot block/rebound..
Bosh already stretches out the D because of his mid-range game, so what in the fuck are you talking about?
I admit that you know more about baseball than I do, but it's pretty obvious you jump in on NBA conversations unarmed.
