spillingmercury 12.23.11	Oh man, 5. I got into them just as they were planning to break up, even though I knew about them for two years or so. Memories. First time I craved going to a concert. It's a shame you're so conscious of this "hipster/douchebag" label just because you're into music. It's nice that you're trying be less judgmental and actually try to reason out why you like or don't like certain things. For some reason this stigma of elitism only applies to "hipsters," and yet being closed minded or pushy when it comes to music encompasses a broad horizon of people. I'm actually really surprised you were listed back CDs though, because everyone I know seems to only listen to singles unless they're the type who becomes noticeably excited about music. have fun with it though.
Fortheloveofmusic 12.24.11	Blackbelt: I think I'm not interested in it, but sometimes choices surprise me. I got an Ellie Goulding CD and actually loved it, which surprised me. Spillingmercury: I don't actually consider myself a hipster/douchebag haha. It's the label that sometimes gets applied to me when I criticize mainstream stuff. That's what part of the projet was, to try and convince people to look past their stereotypes and realize they can enjoy listening to more than one kind of music. And yeah, alot of people said they didn't really own CDs, so I gave them the option of just giving me some of their favorite songs.

spillingmercury 12.24.11	Well, yeah, I don't see you so far as someone who views themselves as that sort of person, more so one who's been subjected to being grouped in as such. But I get what you're trying to do, and I think it's pretty sweet. Good luck with it, hopefully you get a few willing to play along. I've had a few friends who've been willing to listen and share music with me, and slowly we've been opening up to each other because of that. It's always nice to see progress being made.
Fortheloveofmusic 12.24.11	Well it seems even more now people are grouped according to music, style, a mixture of both. There are hipsters. scene kids, preps, hicks, wannabe-crips (there are sadly many of these at my school), the list goes on and on

Fortheloveofmusic 12.24.11	Well as I already mentioned, I really enjoyed 'Lights' by Ellie Goulding. The other four were 'Take Care' by Drake, The Band Perry's album (can't remember the name right now), 'Songs About Jane' by Maroon 5, and 'Where the Road Parts' by Chase Coy (can't see myself replaing that one much, however)

Vespiion 12.24.11	Very neat way to possibly find a band or two, and share the music you love with those who would likewise never hear them.

Hopeland 01.30.12	This is a really awesome idea. My best male friends listen to metalcore and dubstep and my best female friends listen to country or nothing, so I don't think I'd really enjoy their top 5 cds. Cities and You Are My Sunshine are 2 of my favourites of all time, so good choices. Although, I actually like In Motion is Copeland's best. Also, I've been a fan of Chase Coy for a long time and Where the Road Parts is actually a nice album. He doesn't get any recognition around here so it's nice to see someone else diggin' that album.
