|Alextm510 Top 25 2011|
Top 25, yup....you know the drill
|25||The Dear Hunter|
The Color Spectrum (Complete Collection)
The whole project is solid. If there is one flaw is that some hold EP's hold up better than others and naturally I gravitated to just listening to those (Blue, Violet, and Indigo). But this on the whole is solid.
Stupidly excessive, but after you sort through the nonsense there's a lot of quality stuff on Take Care.
Never Be Content
RIP Innerpartysystem, I will remain uncontent since you never released that debut you promised.
The Year Of Hibernation
This album makes me want to hibernate somewhere far and hidden. like in Idaho
|21|| ||Made In Heights|
APORIA: IN THESE §TREETS
Neat fusion of indie pop, r&b, and IDM. Imagine Ellie Goulding came from Brooklyn. can be free if you want http://madeinheights.bandcamp.com/
You Are All I See
choir boy r&b pop. hella cool
|19||A Winged Victory For The Sullen|
A Winged Victory For The Sullen
Some of the most gorgeous modern classical you will hear this year. Oh, and 'steep hill' can pretty much play during that movie scene where those people who haven't seen each other in a really long finally see each other. some dramatic thing like that yup.
Riiiiiddddeeeee. I think that's what she says. yea album rules, title track is easy highlight
You are now listening to Arraaaabbbbmuzik
Dan Tompkins is the factor that made this album so awesome. Rather curious how Elliot Coleman will stack up against him.
My Blood Is Full Of Airplanes
Leighton of Lydia fame stops the sob songs and goes out to the streets and parties. Easily some of the catchiest music you'll hear this year.
Post-rap shit. noisy and polarizing.
The King Of Limbs
Still trying to comprehend this damn thing. but man it gets better with each listen. Seems like radiohead are more into making new sounds and less concerned about making their next Kid A/OK computer, and that's completely fine.
Culture shock, future shock. Fuck yourself, choke yourself
The legendary foundation makes another solid, not too suprising really. However this is easily their most chilled to date and the classical influences that creep in at the end are absolutely gorgeous. Black Thought keeps getting better too.
|10|| ||The Log.Os|
Probably some of the most intelligent spaced out R&B that you'll hear. Oh it's free too http://the-log-os.com/?b0a8a040
Within And Without
Summer drives, cover art lol.
|8||Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross|
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Trent/Atticus 3 hour mood music. Yes, it rules and worth all of your time.
Annie Clark shut up I love you more
A I A
Post metal meets groove metal-cool cool stuff
Biased, also when they said they were gonna break up it made me listen to this different. Band may not be doing anything groundbreaking but they are tight, concise, giving way to Dustin becoming a better songwriter, easily his best lyrics and vocal performance to date.
HOB should be here too. I'm not one to say I can relate to this guy, and the place he sings about is not one i want to be in. But the concept and story fit so well with the production. Equal parts sexy, lush, and sinister makes The Weeknd such an engaging listen.
Warm summer night haze-sitting in a pool and get absorbed in the sound.
Glassjaw's best stuff to date. These four dudes balance incredibly well.
