The Four Instinctive Tales... Of Decomposition
If you liked Nespithe hearing this is a no brainer. It's a little more primitive than the
aforementioned album but it still rules. I actually prefer the production here to
Nespithe and it's got one of the best track titles ever, And the Slimy Flying Creatures

Remasquerade
The Silence of Centuries is one of my favorites from Finland, but this holds Depravity's
best track, In Deaths Embrace. I guess this is technically an EP but it fits the mold of

Resuscitation of Evilness
It's got four tracks that show up on World Without God but i think they're executed
better here than they are on the LP. It's essentially everything that makes the Finnish

More from Finland of course, i haven't actually listened to this enough to really have a fully
formed opinion, but its essentially more of what you'd expect from the Finnish scene,

Inside the Labyrinth of Depression
One of my favorite demo's to come out of Finland, melds a little more aggressiveness in
with the doom and gloom sort of akin to what might have happened had Adramelech and
Convulse's deformed mutant child died at birth. | | 6 |  | Adramelech
Spring of Recovery
Speaking of Adramelech, here's my favorite death metal ep of all time, which
consequently has my favorite death metal artwork of all time, which i actually am getting
in mint condition from Italy as a christmas gift to myself. Revived is Adramelech's best

Remains of An Art Forgotten
Bands like Entombed and Dismember are what made the Swedish scene legendary but
there's tons of great stuff from the time that never quite got that kind of recognition.
Remains does what it does very nicely and isn't too murky for fans of the more popular

Demo II
I'd actually known about Festerday long before i actually heard them. I always liked
...And Oceans as far as sympho bm goes and knew they started out as Festerday but
never bothered to check them out until i started diving into the finnish dm scene. The
demo is surprisingly well produced for a demo, and it's kind of interesting overall but
nothing really special. It has less weirdness than i was hoping for, because that's why i
always had a soft spot for ...And Oceans. The groove bass at the beginning of the
second track actually fucking sucks. | | 9 | | Carnifex
Decadence
No not the shitty core band, Carnifex was another early finnish dm band that released this
fucking awesome ep as well as a split with the above band. It's essential to anyone who has an
interest in finnish dm. There's better, but its still worth a listen. | | 10 | | Cartilage
