11.16.11 | I really like 10's flow, it can be awkward at times with the way he breaks up big words, but it usually works really well. I love the anger comes through his voice, too. |

11.16.11 | Is Vinnie in Jedi Mind Tricks? |
guitarechoes
11.16.11 | Yeah Vinnie's in JMT. He's also in Army of the Pharaohs. I agree about Tech, if you like him you should listen to Diabolic and Vinnie Paz. |
KotoFtw
11.16.11 | I like his part after Dance with the Devil, I'll have to check him out. |
PistolPete
11.16.11 | Eminem has lost his IMO. Also, up until "Lasers" came out I really would've put Lupe Fiasco on this kind of list at least top 3. |
gabethepiratesquid
11.16.11 | Gross list. And the emcee in Mobb Deep isn't all that great. I mean he's okay but the group is more acclaimed for its fantastic producer and their original use of boom bap. Tech and Diabolic aren't that good in terms of flow, and Vinnie is noooot number one.
also, this list has a lack of Pharoahe Monch

11.16.11 | snoop on doggystyle, big boi, and doom have my favorites |

11.16.11 | also, the fuck? No Biggie? I don't even like his albums and I think he's a tad overrated but his buttery smooth flow is almost legendary, he can almost make polyrhythms with that shit. |
guitarechoes
11.17.11 | Biggie's a good rapper but he's overrated if I made a top 20 list he'd make it in. If you don't think Mobb Deep deserve their place in the list, listen to the 'Infamous' album and get back to me. |

11.17.11 | wtf you're stupid as shit where is meth where is l where is big where is kool keith wher eis mos where is 90s jay where is kendrick where is ace where is pharoahe where is the fact that more than half of hip-hop's emcees would shit all over vinnie |

11.17.11 | do you even know what flow is |
guitarechoes
11.17.11 | Gnarly you listen to Brokencyde you have no opinion. Jay-z is just a Biggie clone though I agree Mos Def is good. If you don't think Paz has got flow then you obviously don't know flow yourself. |

gabethepiratesquid
11.17.11 | Oh yeah I listened to Mobb Deep and know them but I have yet to listen to that one obscure album Infamous by them, good recommendation. u dumb.
still, idk. This is white bread hip-hop and essentials for the most part. |
guitarechoes
11.17.11 | qwe3 how can you say this is a horrible list when your most played on last fm is Lil Wayne? Cheers theacademy, you should check out some of Pun's freestyles, if he was alive today he'd shit on any of these medicore autotune rappers. Essentials? Hardly, the majority of these artists are underground or not that well known. Essentials would have been if I would have put in Biggie, Tupac, 50 Cent etc. Only essential I'd say in there is Eminem but he's hardly lacking in the flow department. |
qwe3
11.17.11 | "qwe3 how can you say this is a horrible list when your most played on last fm is Lil Wayne?"
basically i typed the word "list" first right
then i typed "is"
then i typed "horrible"
then, if you'll direct your attention to the bottom of the box marked "Submit Comment," there's a button that says "Submit"
so I clicked that, and those three words (list, is, and horrible respectively) appeared in your list's comments thread!

lmao what? Where does Brokencyde come from I don't listen to them...
And yeah Jay-Z might bite more than Mike Tyson but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have good flow. And I didn't say that Paz doesn't have flow, it's just nothing special. The reason why Vinnie Paz is worth listening to is because he has that ill rugged voice. His flow is pretty standard, to be honest. There are myriad emcees worth noting for their flows and Vinnie Paz just isn't one of them. |

11.17.11 | 5 would be my number 1 |

11.17.11 | Immortal Technique is terrible. He doesn't flow because he has way too much to say, and is incapable of brevity. I agree with Nas and Eminem, of course. Best flow though? No. Check out Tonedeff or Substantial of Qn5. Rakim should have never been left off this list. Eyedea deserves a place in the top ten, too. I agree with @GnarlyShillelagh; Method Man tops quite a few of the people on this list. |

No, I'm promising that most of these if not all are pretty well-known throughout the whole site and you'll find them throughout the "recommend me hip-hop" lists.
Also, Lil Wayne was one of the best rappers in the genre from 2005-2007. I think qwe just ignored that point because he's gotten into this argument and proved other people who didn't know much about what they were talking about millions of times and he didn't want to get back into it. Most Lil Wayne haters are either basing their entire opinion of him on Lollipop and How to Love or they get their opinions from Youtube comments. |
guitarechoes
11.18.11 | combustion07 knows what he's talking bout. I've listened to Lil Wayne apart from his early mixtapes there isn't really any potential or talent, definately nothing special enough to get on this list. |
gabethepiratesquid
11.18.11 | I don't think Lil Wayne should be on this list because his flow definitely isn't in the top (though he can have a cool broken flow or one where it's like where the words seem to tumble out of his mouth), but I'd disagree with you on talent. |

Lollipop is so good, dunno what you're talking about. |
gabethepiratesquid
11.18.11 | @wonarabbit: Lollipop is catchy, but it's not the track that's going to win the hearts of people looking for good hip-hop.
and if you genuinely think subject matter correlates to quality, guitarechoes, then you really do know nothing about hip-hop, as if the fact that you like Immortal Technique and that stuff didn't say enough. |

"intellectual rap"
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. I thought you had to look for "intellectual rap" when I first got into the genre when I was like, fourteen. Hopefully your taste matures because you just seem to be really dumb with this stuff. For the most part "intellectual" rap is a gimmick just picked up by any kid who hates "that gangster BULLSHIT" and will drool over any shitty conscious rapper. Or god forbid, Rhymesayers and Atmosphere and shit like that. |
