09.30.11 | How'd you hate 1 man? |
jefflebowski
09.30.11 | I was about 13 at the time, and it was one of the first metal albums I heard (grew up in Wales, natch). That's no excuse though, it's such a great record |

09.30.11 | Deftones - Diamond Eyes
Thursday - No Devolucion

09.30.11 | I'm still trying to get into Sleater-Kinney
|
jefflebowski
09.30.11 | It's worth it when you do, 'cause pretty much all of their albums are as good as each other. They're a truly consistent band.
I still find some of the vocals a turn-off though |
TheNotrap
09.30.11 | I believe I never hated an album and start enjoying it after a while...
The albums I "hated" on my first listening still remain unlistenable I guess |
jefflebowski
09.30.11 | It doesn't happen very often with me either - but in a lot of these cases I listened to these albums when I was much younger and didn't have particularly broad horizons |
TheNotrap
09.30.11 | All my favourite bands (Maiden, Floyd, Priest, Marillion) got me on the first listening. The first impression strikes deadly in my case |
TRMshadow
09.30.11 | How the f**k did you not automatically love Ghost Reveries?!
Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute
Isis - Oceanic
Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky - Piano Concert No. 1 (AMAZING piano piece)
Brand New - The Devil and God...
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust (and the Spiders from mars)
Radiohead - OK Computer (as well as the rest of their discography, only this one has clicked so far)
The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute
and withing the past day, Year Zero by NIN, second listen fixed that though. |

09.30.11 | I used to despise death growls to the point of dismissing any album containing them. I'm still not a fan, but in Opeth's case, I can appreciate the awesome music around them |
theashesfromautumn01
09.30.11 | i didnt like august burns reds constellations for a while. now i think its awesome as hell |
MisterTornado
09.30.11 | This was the first Miles album I listened to. Which was probably a bad move.
Haha |

09.30.11 | Same here. I pretty much worked my way through all of Fugazi's discog before I realized how great it was |
rokknroll4
09.30.11 | 2 was the only Opeth album that was instant for me, I've actually held off on rating most of them because I'm just not sure if I like them or not. |
toxin.
09.30.11 | I thought The Devil and God... was shit at first.
Aside from that, there's just a ton of stuff I hate that hasn't grown on me (like Radiohead) but maybe in 5 years I'll come back with a more interesting response. |
TheFonz123
09.30.11 | for me its

09.30.11 | 1 and 2 are amazing, you are a good man for realizing their beauty.
Hm, let's see... albums I hated at first... I couldn't stand Calculating Infinity the first time, but I'm practically listening to it every day now. Devin Townsend's Addicted and Ocean Machine: Biomech were also annoying at first, but all of a sudden Ocean Machine just "clicked". And now I've grown to appreciate each song on Addicted. And for whatever reason, BTBAM's Alaska was originally boring to me. Now it's my favorite album. |
FearThyEvil
09.30.11 | 2 I loved immediately. |
Cutsman8x
10.01.11 | Dude I didn't like The Argument at first either, but one day Life And Limb made it click. |
