JJwins 08.01.11	my first day of high school was pretty average. I was amazed by how old everybody looked, and how young I looked in comparison. I'm 19 now and can pass as 16, so in 9th grade I could pass as like 12-13. Just went with the flow...had football practice after school...that's all I can remember.

wabbit 08.01.11	mom was the vice-principal and I had dad for 2 of my 4 classes (french and geography)...top it bitches but ya this is going to sound super generic and cheesy but you get out of highschool whatever you put in. I did everything (soccer, v-ball, x-country, track, reach for the top, student council, spirit/dance council [that one was to get a girl, worked], environmental council, coffee houses, musicals and all the sound and lighting stuff) and I absolutely loved highschool. So I guess...go do stuff (also by grade 10 you have to start drinking)

Fortheloveofmusic 08.01.11	Our school is on the year round calender, so we start early but we get two weeks off in October and March, so that makes up for it. And the list is just my Itunes on shuffle, cause I wasn't sure what to put on it
Thanatopsis 08.01.11	My first day of high school was six years ago, but I remember it was pretty sweet. I went to a very small school (sixty kids in my class, and we were a big class), so I already knew everyone; there was no scary parts of high school. Be confident, go out and make friends, and do as much as you can both school-wise, extracurricular-wise, friend wise, etc. Also, drinking isn't necessary, but some of my favorite drinking experiences were in high school. I loved high school, but if you don't get out there, assert yourself, and have experiences, it can be Hell; it's all about what you make it, like so much of life.

I was elected president of our freshman class, I'll probably be co-captain of our JV soccer team, I'm getting an act together for the variety show (basically a talent show), and I'm trying to be drafted as the kicker for the football team, so it's only the first day and I'm already getting into more activities than I've ever been in before

Grade 9 was pretty much the opposite, thanks to the useless IB program that I'm oh-so fucking glad I bailed after grade 10. If you can somehow balance good marks with a social life, high school will be great.
