ctaxxxx: Any1 Use Professional Headphones???

bloc 06.23.11	I also have those ATH's and they rule. They're monitors so they don't colour up the sound which I think is the best thing to wear, regardless of what kind of music you listen to.
ev0ken 06.23.11	i used to own a pair of sennheiser headphones a few years back, i ended up selling them though. I forgot which model they were also.
WhiteTieBlackJacket 06.23.11	Got me some Grados. The sound is beautiful but the comfort isn't there.
ctaxxxx 06.23.11	Yeah, they do bring a pretty natural sound. I almost got Grados because everyone was saying it was the best for typical metal, but the retailer suggested I get these, and I sure don't regret it. They're comfortable as hell too, and the Grados were supposedly the exact opposite.
ev0ken 06.23.11	number 4 is pretty good actually. gotta listen to 3. 1,2,5 and 5 are also great too. i have recs for 1/2 but i can't think of any atm. but try emeth- Insidious, i was listening to a few songs today from that album. it's mostly just bdm though.
ctaxxxx 06.23.11	Winterus' new direction was just unexpected, but to be honest it does have some good parts. The mix however just hinders it, which I'm pretty sure they just wanted to be more "raw". My biggest complaint was the balancing; drums too loud, and guitars were not very audible in comparison.
ev0ken 06.23.11	oh if you want an album thats really dumb heavy in the mixing listen to Adversarial- All Idols Fall Before the Hammer all you really hear is the snare, but it's pretty sweet in my opinion, i like it. it's like blacked/death metal.
