Top 10 Of 2010 (best One Yet)

So for me, my 2010 listening was kind of dominated by elliott smith for the first half of the year, and andy hull the second half of the year. not too much clicked for me from this year, I don't know. pretty disappointing year imo. but here are my favorites, I hope this makes me popular.
10The Morning Benders
Big Echo

I just started listening to these guys like two weeks ago. But they're great. they remind me of like grizzly bear/ good old war mix. or something. I don't fucking know. but I like them a lot. favorite: promises
9Broken Bells
Broken Bells

I loved this when it first came out, but it's kind of grown off me since then. favorite: the high road
8Tera Melos
Patagonian Rats

I'm not really too big of a fan of their other stuff, but I kind of instantly liked this one. I really like the high vocals/mathy guitar combination. favorite: in citrus heights
7Fang Island
Fang Island

I could talk about how happy this is and shit, but I'm not. you guys already know about that. favorite: davey crockett
6Kanye West
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

this is the first kanye west album I liked. but seriously, everyone shut the fuck up. this isn't a fucking 10, pitchfork music. yes, it's really good. yes, it gets better each listen. but it's not a fucking classic. favorite: POWER
5The Tallest Man on Earth
The Wild Hunt

I hated this guy's voice on the first track, but I think when I heard king of spain the whole album kind of clicked. this is really good though. I think I need to listen to it more. favorite: king of spain
4Maps and Atlases
Perch Patchwork

I also saw these guys live. the singer's warbly voice was perfect, even though he's kind of weird. I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't as mathy as the other stuff, but this style works great for them as well. favorite: pigeon
3Good Old War
Good Old War

I listened to this album a couple of times when it came out, and I liked it, but it wasn't too big of a deal. then I saw these guys live and they were fucking magical and then this album was baller as hell. so if you don't like this, go see them live, sing along even if you don't know the words, and fuck shit up. and by fuck shit up I mean that you'll like it after you see them live. favorite: my own sinking ship
2Kid Cudi
Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager

So damn good. I don't give a fuck, this is the best hip hop album of 2010. I guess I gave in to everyone liking this at my school. but seriously, I love this guy. I also played the fuck out of this one when it came out. favorite: ashin kusher
1Envy on the Coast
Lowcountry

Listen to this fucking album, god damn it. It's been my favorite the whole year, and even though I haven't listened to it in like 2 months, I listened the fuck out of it when it came out early this year. these guys broke up, too. shit sucks. favorite: head first in the river
