Quintessential Albums Of Each Decade

I have a paper on this these are the albums I picked. Now I make it rvery clear in the essay that rthese albums were in no way the most rpopular but rather the albums that sum up the decade as ra whole.
5Radiohead
Kid A

2000's- technophobia, isolationism, and disconnect all with the forewarnings we are so accustomed to of the
collapse of society and the
damage to the environment.
4Radiohead
Ok Computer

1990's- to quote a professor at the university of Cambridge "Want a
summary of what life was like at the turn of the century listen to track
8...short of time listen to track 7"
3Tom Waits
Swordfishtrombones

1980's- If the 70's were all about technology and change being good this is
a fall back. While strange and avant it demonstrates societies longing for
the past. This is esp shown with that fanastic song "In the Neighbourhood"
2Pink Floyd
the dark side of the moon

1970's- very futuristic. encaptures societies desire for change and that
technology is very much a good thing.
1Bob Dylan
Highway 61 revisited

1960's- really captures the changing times of the decade coupled with the
anti-war, civil rights conflicts and the really creation of modern music
