11.09.10 | Also, thoughts on The Mars Volta? I like old school prog, but I dunno bout these guys. I think getting more J.Tull and Yes is more worthwhile? |
Hep Kat
11.09.10 | The Mars Volta are amazing, but i would recommend starting with deloused as it's waaay more accessible than ftm, and it'll help you appreciate their other shit. and i think everyone should listen to more jethro tull, yes not so much. like they're cool just not one of my prog faves.
you should check out black moon for old skool leet rapzorz |
FadeToBlack
11.09.10 | mvp? |
redskyformiles
11.09.10 | i hope a linebacker drills him into the ground and takes out his rotator cuff. |
Hep Kat
11.09.10 | i like philip rivers just fine but uh mvp no
chargers are what? 3-5? |
BigHans
11.09.10 | The Mars Volta are like the worst fucking band ever. |
redskyformiles
11.09.10 | be quiet and go wait in the car, hans |

11.09.10 | ninjedit |

11.09.10 | Sounds like a Deftones song |
Hawks
11.09.10 | He's good and all, but definitely not MVP. And I really hate him. |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | No. No. No. I'm from SD, but I'm a Chiefs fan through and through. Rivers is a good quarterback, but he ain't getting an MVP unless they start getting more wins. |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | His numbers are pretty astounding though... especially with all his targets being injured. |
This Life is Genocide
11.09.10 | lol thats like sayin hasselbeck for mvp. sure, hes an okay quarterback and yeah, im from seattle, but seriously, any manning bro could serve him |
KevinGarnett
11.09.10 | Vick was MVP until he got hurt. Damn..... I would think Arian Foster might be up for it. |
Hep Kat
11.09.10 | he's a much better qb than eli, but he can't touch peyton that's for sure. and what about the manning bro who's a gimp? |
BigHans
11.09.10 | Rivers is a fucking douche but the dude can fucking sling. |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | Foster would be up for it if the Texans weren't soft. Vick could be in talks for it if he stays healthy and they make the playoffs. I have him on my fantasy team, dude is a beast. |
xfearbefore
11.09.10 | Lol what are you fuckin' high? There's more to being an MVP than just throwing a shitload of yards---like, for example, WINNING GAMES.
And we're barely halfway through the season. Premature much?
|
KevinGarnett
11.09.10 | Can you imagine the conversations at the Manning table at Christmas?
Archie: Eli, Peyton, what did you guys do today?
Peyton: Clinched a playoff birth
Eli: Threw for 300 yards and 3 TD's.
Cooper: At work today, I got-
Archie: No one cares, Cooper. |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | Premature ejaculation. |
BigHans
11.09.10 | yeah poor Cooper. Wait I dont feel sorry for millionaires. |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | lol at KG |
acorncheese
11.09.10 | Rivers certainly is a candidate for MVP. I think Clay Matthews has the strongest case so far, though. But of course the NFL wouldn't give the league MVP to a defensive player. Let's just hope that Peyton Manning doesn't win another one... |
DoubtGin
11.09.10 | Yes released the best prog album ever so yeah |
SD(TheGreatDestroyer)Inc
11.09.10 | Yeah but the Chargers only start winning in Nov and Dec so Rivers is on track don't you worry
And he might have a few recievers by then (No disrespect to Tutu) |
KevinGarnett
11.09.10 | Yeah, he'll have Vincent Jackson back, but will Jackson give 100%, considering he wants out? Knowing his personality, probably not. |
Hep Kat
11.09.10 | espn has his projected passing yards for the season at 5200+. i'd like to see that |
SD(TheGreatDestroyer)Inc
11.09.10 | Yeah who knows what to expect from VJax, but if he's up for it this will be one hell of an offence
F**cking special teams are a joke though, whilst Rivers is breaking records for all the right reasons, STs are trying to become the worst in NFL history |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | 5 blocked punts at the halfway point in the season is truly atrocious. |
KevinGarnett
11.09.10 | It doesn't help that the Chargers also have the 26th ranked scoring defense in the NFL. With terrible special teams and a D that gives up over 21 PPG, you might make the playoffs but you won't get past the first round. |
SD(TheGreatDestroyer)Inc
11.09.10 | All true but who knows what will happen this season, anything could happen (except maybe another Dallas win)
|
Inveigh
11.09.10 | Vick and Darren McFadden would both be strong MVP candidates if it weren't for injury |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | Eric Berry = defensive rookie of the year. Booyah. |
acorncheese
11.09.10 | Mike Williams = rookie of the year. Fucking better be. |
curseworship
11.09.10 | If the Chargers even get to 8-8, Rivers deserves that fucking trophy. |
SD(TheGreatDestroyer)Inc
11.09.10 | N.Suh has defencive rookie already be honest,
Bradford will probably be rookie of the year tbh, especially if they reach the playoffs (which isn't that unrealistic)
No doubting Vick's ability, I always love someone upshowing manning, like the other night |
KevinGarnett
11.09.10 | Dude, how can you say Rivers deserves that fucking trophy when his team gets to 8-8? That's ridiculous. Most Valuable Player means exactly that, Most Valuable Player. While Rivers is beasting numbers wise, he can't get his team in the win column, and that's a big chink in the armor of his MVP campaign. The MVP should be someone who gets their team to the playoffs, and Rivers won't do that. |
curseworship
11.09.10 | He is playing behind a garbage line, with no running back help and no receivers of worth. His defense is terrible and the special teams is even worse. If they make it to 8-8, it is because Philip Rivers is inhuman. |
KevinGarnett
11.09.10 | Lol, Dante Culpepper had a beast year, remember? Was he MVP? HELL NO! |
SD(TheGreatDestroyer)Inc
11.09.10 | Without Rivers, SD would have no wins right now,
he seems pretty valuable to me |
BigHans
11.09.10 | Suh is the defensive rookie of the year hands down, and an arguable MVP candidate. Guy is a fucking monster and has actually given Detroits D an indentity. |
Hep Kat
11.09.10 | valuable to san diego, yeah. [most] valuable in the eyes of the league, nah |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | Suh will be droty. I only vote for Berry because of my Chief-ism. In reality, it's Suh. |
BigHans
11.09.10 | Suh looks like a future Hall of Famer. No surprise, the dude straight up dismantled people in college. |
Counterfeit
11.09.10 | Favre is MVP dudes |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | Detroit needs to hold onto him. Stafford, Johnson, Suh and Best? Beastly combination for years to come. |
curseworship
11.09.10 | The only reason Culpepper didn't win MVP because it was the year Peyton Manning picked apart the entire league and threw 49 touchdowns. He would have won the MVP if not for that so your stupid-ass example is null-and-void. |
Hep Kat
11.09.10 | detroit finally seems to have something to build a franchise off of. let's hope they don't blow it
joey harrington lol |
SD(TheGreatDestroyer)Inc
11.09.10 | lol poor Favre
should of retired while he was ahead |
curseworship
11.09.10 | They need a line to protect Stafford, he is getting slaughtered back there |
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | True, but with the rest of the offense being that talented (albeit raw) many O-Line studs will want to sign with them in free agency. |
curseworship
11.09.10 | Stafford might not make it that long haha
|
Jakeitwasaghost
11.09.10 | Put Suh in at O-Line too. Problem solved! |
