The Book Of Clutch

So I'm seeing Clutch live tonight, and I already have a hard-on. In tribute, I am going to rank their studios, comps, and list their 25 greatest songs in an effort to help anyone trying to get into them. Their discog is fucking massive and quite diverse, so it is a huge undertaking tackling it all, something I have done. Here you go homos.
1Studio Albums Ranked:
2Clutch
Blast Tyrant

This album is so manly you will grow back hair by listening to it. Clutch has tried several styles, but this is the pinnacle of their ability to rawk. A true fucking masterpiece. If you don't like this, buy a dress.
3Clutch
Robot Hive/Exodus

A small notch down from Blast Tyrant, but is similar in style. The style of Rawk. A little bluesier, a tad bit of filler, but the good songs on this fucking slay.
4Clutch
From Beale Street to Oblivion

Starting to get bluesier here, this is the last bridge between them blending pure rawk fury and the blues. Exceptionally well written, with very little filler. Also contains probably their greatest song, Electric Worry.
5Clutch
Pure Rock Fury

The bridge between the Rawk of Blast Tyrant and the stoner meandering of past records. Careful with that Mic and the title track slay hard.
6Clutch
Clutch

Some consider this to be their classic, and it did pretty much launch them. While it does contain some of their most classic songs, it does tend to get of course with mindless stoner jamming at times.
7Clutch
Strange Cousins From The West

Its well written and well executed. Has 3 awesome songs. My problem is this is pretty much a blues rock record instead of having flavors of hard rock and metal. Its kind of like Clutch Lite.
8Clutch
The Elephant Riders

Alot of stoner droning on this one. The standouts like The Soapmakers and Ship of Gold make it worth getting for a big fan of the band, but aside from those most of this could probably be skipped.
9Clutch
Transnational Speedway League: Anthems, Anecdotes

Clutch's debut, and probably their strangest album. Has their manliest, gruffest vocals, but also probably their worst songwriting. That said, there is a song about walking in the path of Monster Trucks, and karate champions named Marcus.
10Compliations/EPs ranked
11Clutch
Pitchfork and Lost Needles

A melding of their debut EP and some unreleased tracks. About half of this is worth it, the rest can be shoved aside.
12Clutch
Impetus

An EP, which half of absolutely slays, and the other half pretty much blows. Worth keeping in a discog torrent download.
13Clutch
Slow Hole to China: Rare and Unreleased

Similar in style to Pitchfork and Lost Needles. Has a song about Willie Nelson smoking pot, which rules.
14Clutch
Jam Room

Unquestionably the worst thing they've ever released. That is unless you like mindless jamming/droning.
1525 GREATEST SONGS
16Electric Worry

Off Beale Street. This would have fit perfectly in the Tarantino flick "From Dusk till Dawn."
17The Mob Goes Wild

Lead single off Blast Tyrant and probably their most well known song. Absolutely fucking slays.
18Burning Beard

The riff/groove on this are fucking unstoppable in their manliness. Off Robot Hive
19Subtle Hustle

I GOT YOUR MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME TATTOOED ON MY ARM. Off Blast Tyrant.
20Mice and Gods

Off Robot Hive, the chorus absolutely destroys.
21Impetus

Rocks harder than most of their songs, which is saying something.
22Careful with that Mic

Off Pure rock Fury, one of their first big singles. By their standards anyway. Hilarious lyrics.
23 Ghost

A ballad off Blast Tyrant, very dark and haunting.
2450,000 Unstoppable Watts

Easily the best song off the newest album. ANTHRAX! AND RADIO!
25Pure Rock Fury

Slays
26Power Player

Off Beale Street. IM NOT GIVING YOU ATTITUDE, I JUST NEED ANOTHER DRINK.
27Army of Bono

A massively manly chorus carries this one. Off Blast Tyrant.
28White's Ferry

A haunting ballad type off of Beale Street.
29Texan Book of Dead

Its pretty much the song Old McDonald Had a Farm on fucking steroids. Off S/T.
30Promoter

Another RAWK song off Blast Tyrant
31Motherless Child

Probably the most rockin song off Strange Cousins. Aside from 50,000 Unstoppable Watts.
32The Regulator

Haunting chill tune off Blast Tyrant
33The Incomparable Mr. Flannery

Opens Robot Hive in a badass way.
34A Shogun Named Marcus

Easily the best song off Transnational Speedway
35Pile Driver

An extremely manly rawk song off the Impetus EP
36Mr. Shiny Cadillackness

Groovy classic off Beale Street
37Ship of Gold

The best track off Elephant Riders
38Slow Hole to China

One of those b-side classics.
39The Soapmakers

The most famous song off Elephant Riders
40The Devil & Me

What Beale Street is all about. Blues RAWK.
