My 10 Favorite Albums

Just 10 albums that, regardless of how they were critically received, move me in a way that only music can. In no certain order:
1 Joe Satriani
Is There Love In Space

The album that helped me understand that no boundaries exist either on
the guitar or in music. At times beautiful, others rocking no other solo
shredder has so many albums I can listen to beginning to finish.
2Red Hot Chili Peppers
Californication

Caught in between the raw funk of BloodSugar and the very ballad-y By
The Way, this album catches my favorite band with their best sound. This is
Stadium Arcadium with balls, and no filler. (Though I do enjoy Stadium)
3Guns N Roses
Appetite for Destruction

I can't drive listening to this. I end up 30 mph above the speed limit and on
the wrong side of the road. It's hard to concentrate when you're rocking
with every fiber of your being. IMHO the best hard rock album of all time.
4 Black Sabbath
Masters of Reality

The original line-up of Black Sabbath had all the heaviness that metal would
come to personify, fused with the blues and jam power of late '60's era
rock'n'roll. Still proving after all these years that slower is heavier.
5Stevie Wonder
Songs in the Key of Life

Possibly the most talented individual songwriter of the modern era, Wonder
was funk, r&b, rock, blues, and everything in between managing to do it all
with soul. No musician can turn my mood around for the better like ol'
Stevie.
6Led Zeppelin
How the West Was Won

Ah, the jam. Such raw energy. All musicians love it, few can do it while
sounding amazing. Led Zeppelin had the talent to do anything they
wanted, and they did it. How can one band write Going to California, Since
I've Been Loving You, and the Immigrant Song? It's just not fair to us mortal
musicians.
7Ozzy Osbourne
Blizzard of Ozz

Randy Rhoads. 'nuff said. The two solos in Mr. Crowley give me both chills,
and guitar face that won't leave for days.
8Audioslave
Audioslave

I know what you're thinking. Audioslave? Next to Zeppelin and Sabbath?
This song is tied irrevocably to my childhood, and while I don't care much for
their other two albums, they were onto a pretty badbutt sound on this one.
If they would've stuck with it they could've done amazing things.
9 Rage Against the Machine
Battle of Los Angeles

Yes, I love Tom Morello (obviously) Riffage up their with the likes of Tony
Iommi. And all the pure energy and rage that comes with being PISSED AT
THE GOVERNMENT! I love it.
10Tenacious D
Tenacious D

Music has the power to make you cry, make you angry, make you happy,
but nobody ever talks about music that makes you laugh. Why?! I can listen
to Tribute all day long, along with City Hall, blank Her Gently, and Kielbasa
and get just as much enjoyment as listening to Radiohead. Anybody can
write a sad song. Just try and write a funny one.
