08.30.10 | I looked at your list and have to agree with everybody else, you don't know what hardcore is. The first thing I think you have to realize is that hardcore is punk in nature. Most of what you listed on the other list was mostly metalcore(metal with "hardcore influences"). To be honest, there is a good chance that you just might not enjoy hardcore because it is indeed a completely different genre from the bands you listed.
Listen to a lot of what Inveigh told you to listen to, also listen to:
Gallows - Orchestra of Wolves(some of this is just straight old school punk)
This Is Hell - Misfortunes
Comeback Kid -Wake The Dead(you might like this because the guitars are similar to A Day To Remember) |

There is no way the worst 2 songs on the album are A Shot In The Dark and The Price We Pay. I can understand the Price We Pay being low because you want to be a tough guy and all that crap, but there is no excuse for A Shot In The Dark being the worst song. One of the most memorable moments on the album come from this song(the "Mark My Words" breakdown at the end is super intense live) and is also one of the best songs they play live. |
