Battle Of The Genres- Part 11

BATTLE OF THE GENRES - PART ELEVEN /// So, after our first tie of the game, Wu-Tang Clan beat out Eminem. They'll be rapping their way to the next round, as will one of the bands below. /// DESC RIPTION - Vote for a band that you would like to represent each genre. There are eighteen genres in total, which means eighteen preliminary rounds. Then the representatives from each genre will face off. Which genre/band will win? /// RULES - One vote per member per day (each round lasts 24 hours) - In the event of a tie, a faceoff will occur between the disputed bands - Let's get started

Highest-rated album: Unquestionable Presence (4.3 avg. rating) /// "Atheist is a death metal band from Florida, U.S.A, whose music was extremely technical and had sounds that were similar of jazz. They recorded their debut album, Piece of Time, in 1988, but had to wait until 1990 to release it. In 1991, bassist Roger Patterson died in a car accident and Atheist recruited Tony Choy to record their second album, the now classic Unquestionable Presence."
3Morbid Angel

Highest-rated album: Altars Of Madness (4.4 avg. rating) /// "Morbid Angel is a Florida-based death metal band assembled in 1984 which was crucial in the development of the death metal genre and standards. Their songs are quite complex in arrangement, owing to the considerable skill of guitarist Trey Azagthoth and drummer Pete Sandoval."

Highest-rated album: Symbolic (4.5 avg. rating) /// "Unquestionably one of the most important and influential death metal acts to have ever emerged from the North American continent, Florida's DEATH came together in late 1983 when guitarist/vocalist Chuck Schuldiner and guitarist Rick Rozz (real name: Frederick DeLillo) got together with drummer/vocalist Barney "Kam" Lee to form Mantas."
