Mr.Bricks Top 10 Of 09
sure the year isnt over but their isnt anything coming out in december that i could see topping these 10 albums and i'm bored so lets have a heart to heart
|1||Devin Townsend Project|
abso-fuckin-lutely amazing so its number 1
The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion
in my opinion the second best dredg release, not sure why it isnt as loved on here
Black Clouds and Silver Linings
Still didnt top scenes from a memory for me but tis a close second
Hymn To The Immortal Wind
one of the first post-rock albums i heard...amazing
it isnt anywhere close to FOABP, sky moves sideways, deadwing, or in absentia but it is still a very solid album
as you guys would call this, a "guilty pleasure" but these guys were one of the first bands i've seen live and i will always check out these guys albums, one of the couple mainstream bands i like
|7||The Mars Volta|
the mars volta doing an acoustic album??? wtf?! they went a little more mainstream with this album but still made a damn good album
saw these guys over my senior spring break (2008) opening up for incubus in hawaii, i never heard of them before so just naturally i had to hate them for being an opening band and once all the hype on here started i was being too stubborn to check them out but now i am glad i did
|9||Alice in Chains|
Black Gives Way to Blue
i'll admit it, the only other alice in chains i have heard is their greatest hits but i thought this was a good return for not having layne
Merriweather Post Pavilion
not my normal type of music but i was addicted after the first song
now come tell me how much these suck
...they suck a lot
damnit cirq who asked you!?
havent heard 1
not a fan of dredg
hate dream theater
mono was fantastic
PT is okay
not a fan of 6
8 is sooper
dont like 9
10 is good
ha touche, seeing how i dont have BTBAM or converge on here i figured not too many people would agree with me
2 is amazing.
but by god, 6?
haha i would put the axe to fall on mine but not btbam
hells ya man, as far as mainstream goes i will continue to check out breaking benjamin, shinedown, seether, and three days grace's new releases
Half of this is on mine, good list mang
Good music overall and many I haven't checked out. Man it sucks just really discovering music 4 months before the end of the decade.
1 I was so sure that it would rock, that I bought it without listening to it first, it didn't depress.
2 I have Heard a lot about and my library has it, but I have yet to check out, will do soon though.
3 Like DT, but just don't find them as awe inspiring as some do.
4 is probably going to be my aoty, best post-rock since I discovered GY!BE.
5 I have yet to check out.
6 Is stuff that my friend absolutely dies for, but I find utterly boring.
7 I will listen to right after I finish Gama Bomb, shouldn't be too bad.
8 I got but have yet to check out
9 I never liked Grunge, so I'm not going to even check this out
10 I found fairly entertaining, but hardly an aoty contender
haha damn man, sounds like you got it all but you havent listened to any of it
haha you dont this list?
Addicted! is indeed awesome. As is Swoon. But I really didn't like the Incident or MPP. So, yeah, thats my take on the list.
ya i thought the indicent was pretty damn good but nothing compared to their older stuff
I can agree with the latter part of what you said, not the former though.
haha fair enough
