08.23.09 | didn't say this was going to be complicated, i meant to say how taxi driver and the king of comedy are two of the most carefully executed depictions of a mentally unstable person's descent into madness, and from the looks of the trailer this seems a bit too overbearing in it's display of that descent, like it's going to hit the audience with a brick saying "LOOK HOW CRAZY HE IS NOW ISN'T THAT CRAZY"
btw movie got pushed back to february :(

08.23.09 | too bad the release date for Shutter Island got pushed back until next year. Also The Road is gonna suck. have you seen the previews? it looks nothing like the book. They're gonna turn it into this big post-apocalyptic action movie when the book wasn't about that at all |
