| My Favorite Classic Hip-hop Albums
These are the albums I think are perfect and every fan of music and especially Hip-hop should have. | 1 | | Public Enemy It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
Do I need to explain? In my opinion their best album. Sonically Aggressive with songs like Bring the Noise,Edge of Panic,Channel Zero,Night of Living Baseheads,Blacksteel, and Rebel with out a cause, this is hip-hop with venom. | 2 | | Ultramagnetic Mcs Critical Beatdown
I probably listen to this Album the most of the Hip-Hop albums I have. This album has it all, it's smart, funny, rugged, and just plain fun to listen to. Favorite tracks: Watch Me Now, Ease Back, Ego Trippin',Kool Keiths Housin things,Give the Drummer Some ...Hell just get the whole album and see what I mean. | 3 | | Beastie Boys Paul's Boutique
Everything you heard about this album is true. Just get it. Favorite tracks: Shake Your Rump, Egg Man, Sounds of Science, Barrel of the Gun and Shadrach. | 4 | | Mantronix Music Madness
Truely Innovative and ahead of it's time. Mantronix proved you didnt need a bunch of James Brown and Parliment samples to make great music. Favorite tracks: Who is it?, We Control the Dice, Listen to the Bass and Music Madness. | 5 | | Gang Starr Step In the Arena
This is my favorite Jazz influenced Hip-Hop Album. Great use of jazz samples. Not a bad track on here. Favorite tracks: Form of Intellict, Execution of a chump, Who's Gonna take the Weight?, Check the Technique, Love Sick, and Just to Get a Rep. | |
