Worst Albums I Listened To This Year

The albums I had the displeasure of listening to this year.
1Bullet For My Valentine
Scream, Aim, Fire

This band is the music equivalent of a turd. I don't even know why I even bothered with this album, really. The Poison had maybe one or two decent songs on it but this has only one. That one was the title track, which is kind of sad because it really isn't that good of a song either. I'll make sure to stay away from their next album for sure.
2Black Tide
Light From Above

School newspaper made me review this one. Black Tide has some potential but they sure as hell don't use it. Just another band to add onto the long list of this new wave of watered down "thrash metal" that's been getting very popular lately. They might get more experienced and talented as time goes on but until then, they aren't impressing me. Especially after this album.
3 Norma Jean
The Anti-Mother

This was on my biggest disappointments of the year too. Everything on The Anti-Mother is very awful. I give them credit for trying to progress but it sounds like they don't know what the hell they're doing on this album. It all sounds like one big mess and it might be better if they stuck to being Botch rip-offs.
4Winds of Plague
Decimate The Weak

Listened to the songs on their myspace and liked them, then I got this album and was really let down. I seriously think that I was listening to another band's myspace when I previewed this because I don't remember anything this band being on there. Black Metal and deathcore don't exactly mix together well in the first place and these guys write some of the most laughable lyrics ever.
5Into Eternity
The Incurable Tragedy

Yikes. This band needs to learn how to write a cohesive song. Being diverse is good but sounding like 4 different bands all in one song isn't. They're definitely talented but they need to get their shit together and write an album that's actually cohesive and not this mess.
6Staind
The Illusion of Progress

...It's a Staind album, that should say enough. You think these guys would learn to cheer up since they're a multi-platinum selling artist, but it appears that life still sucks for them.
7Anti-Flag
The Bright Lights of America

I explained this one in my disappointment list, so it's kind of pointless to repeat myself here.
8Children of Bodom
Blooddrunk

I might be time for Bodom to call it quits, stick to touring or become an instrumental band. Alexi's voice has really gone to shit over time. "YEAHHHHHOOWWWWW!!!"
9Dragonforce
Ultra Beatdown

Yeah, I know the Dragonforce hate is kind of typical but this was a very poor album. The first song is pretty good but then it just drags on and on and on and on and on. It begins to get really ridiculous.
10Stick To Your Guns
Comes From The Heart

Another GenericxCore band to add to the scene. Their first album was sorta creative but this album is extremely bland. I've heard bands that sound similar to this before, only they're ten times better.
