I'm Coming...

Expect reviews of these in the coming weeks.
1Steve Von Till
A Grave Is A Grim Horse

Steve Von Till rules. The sullen voice of Neurosis' newest solo album is a whiskey soaked, western tinged folk album. I have about 95% of a review written for this.
2Intestine Baalism
Ultimate Instinct

Where the fuck did this come from? I'm still waiting for it, but the song I've heard was decent, if a little too "Jester Race" for me. But I'll take Intestine Baalism playing "Jester Race" over In fucking Flames anyday.
3 Lily Allen
It's Not Me, It's You

Lily Allen rules and while I can't explain why, I just want to bottle her up and drink her. That was creepy.
4 Ephel Duath
Through My Dog's Eyes

I've been struggling to get through this album for a few weeks now. 2009 hasn't started and it's already found what might be its worst album. Adding to their jazzy foundation, Ephel Duath seem to have adopted a penchant for Korn-like grooves and a flat out bizarre Southern drawl to the guitars. And did I mention the concept is an album being told through the eyes of a fucking dog? When you get to the parts about meat, I'll defy you not to laugh. You're better than me if you succeed.
5Hibria
The Skull Collectors

Defying the Rules is a personal favourite when it comes to speed metal, and based on premilinary listens "The Skull Collectors" is more of the same. That's a good thing. Hibria deliver powerful if cheesy vocals, impressive guitarwork and some of the stronges bass playing you'll hear this side of....I dont know. But it's impressive.
6Sombres Forets
Royaume de Glace

The fact that I can't use an accent circumflex is infuriating, but Sputnik's linguistic bias aside, this album is outstanding and needs a review. Modern black metal that doesn't make me giggle: a rarity!
7 Buried Inside
TBA

Buried Inside's as of yet untitled album is allegedly slated for a February release. I'm already slobbering with drool.
8Solstafir
Kold

S?lstafir' "K?ld" (see linguistic bias in 5) intrigues me because while "Masterpiece of Bitterness" was solid, it lacked the it factor I hope they can finally ascertain.
9Absu
Absu

Tara was great, but lacking. Here's hoping this is just great. I absolutely can't wait to hear the new co-vocalist because Pros-c-r-i-p-tor has a tendency to get, well, irritating.
10 Mos Def
The Ecstatic

No, I haven't heard anything off of this yet. But I can still all but guarantee it'll be fucking awful. I guess I'm just a masochist.
