This album is majestic. What makes this a heavy album is it's unbelievably dense atmosphere. This is a very special release, because it has 2 CD's that are meant to be played at the same time for an incredibly captivating experience. Death of a Dead Day
This album blew me away the first time I listened to it because of its eccentric "in your face" insanity. The band's technical level is absurd.

The Silent Circus
I believe this is BTBAM's peak of creativity and brutality.
The riffs are always heavy and wacky, sometimes switching to beautiful clean passages. The tone of the guitars is killer and punishing. It may not be as progressive as it sucessors, but it's heavier and very technical. The heavy riffs were done with more creativity, the drums were more hardcore oriented, and the vocals were more brutal. | | 7 |  | Arsis
A Celebration of Guilt
This is my favorite melodic death metal album. The way this album was written is killer, the riffs are always great and make the songs be full of interesting passages. The drumming is ridiculously fast, as well as the shredding.

Of Malice and the Magnum Heart
This album came out before metalcore became a very lame and predictable cliche. The songwriting is really outstanding, catchy riffs with intelligent rhythm changes and memorable breakdowns makes this one of the best metalcore albums ever!
I would recommend it to anyone who likes metalcore, as this is fairly catchy, but 10 times better than your average metalcore | | 9 |  | Destruction
Release From Agony
This album will make the metal elitists in the site very happy. Why?
That's because Destruction was, along with Sodom and Kreator, one of the pioneers of the thrash genre. Destrutcion was arguably the most technical of them, their riffs were always fast, evil and complex. This is first class thrash metal, and has excellent replay value due to its short lengh and memorable riffs. | | 10 |  | Meshuggah
Chaosphere
Meshuggah is kind of hard to approach for some, their riffs are very atonal and they are very likely to be an uncomfortable first listen. But this album shows meshuggah's trademark sound at its heaviest, and I don't find it hard to get into. It's an excellent piece of extreme metal, meshuggah's heaviest. | | 11 |  | Arghoslent
