I used to think Come Clarity was a really really amazing album. Ha ha. Ha. Ha ha ha. Come Clarity's still decent but wow, this blows it out of the water. Needless to say I will be getting more old IF.
I would like to thank Sputnik for allowing me to listen to this with low expectations despite my SR-fanboy status. It's really great even if it's a step down from Of Love and Lunacy. I may have to review this to back up my 4.0 rating.
I FINALLY got it. Completely in love with this CD. The only reason I haven't rated it as a 5 yet is some crappy attempt at being objective and seeing how much replay value it has. 7 times through and it's just getting better and better.
Found it used for 3 bucks and figured if Opeth has so many fanboys I can't go wrong getting their CD when it's that cheap. Apparently this isn't the best starting place for Opeth, but I like it, so meh.
I haven't heard all of it yet but I've been listening online and I really, REALLY love this stuff. I thought post-rock wouldn't be my cup of tea but EITS proved me wrong. I will be getting this.
In other news, why doesn't my pie chart EVER update itself? Pop-punk manages to remains at 15% even though the only pop-punk on my charts to earn even a 4 is Brand New. Where are alt rock and death metal? :/
