Chelsea Grin Ranked

One of the bands that got me into this genre , even if their now a shell of their formal self.

Self Inflicted

Feels so bland , repetitive , a sad excuse of "going heavy again"

Welcome back aint bad though

Chelsea Grin

A fun mess of an album with no apparent direction. Crewcabanger becoming one of the more defining songs for Deathcore itself. Also Rip modern (CG) Brees.

Ashes to Ashes

Despite being fourth , its a great album. Jason Richardson definitely improved not only the technicality but the overall Riffs and the guitar works itself. Alex's vocals are now a shell of their formal self , but its not that detrimental.

Evolve

When I listen to Ashes... , you think "Why didn't it sound more like this?"
I liked the more "Heavy" sound in the guitars and was disappointed to find any clean vocals in Ashes... because they seemed to work so well in Lilith and Dont ask.

Desolation of Eden

Chelsea's Debut album shows us Alex's signature "shrieking" vocals. The album was fun in a way it had its heavy hitting riffs , although some songs did act like a whole breakdown. I personally didnt mind the Breakdowns , but i know thats a gripe along alot of metal fans.

My Damnation

While i respected the change that CG had in Evolve , i still don't know why they would ever move from this more "blackened" sound. Alexs vocals were at their total peak , the album showed us darker riffs and i found they just worked together so well. The build up from Kharon to My Damnation is one of my favorite build ups in deathcore.
