|KISS albums ranked|
love them or hate them, they were my first favorite band, so I'll always love this band!
This albums just sucks lol
I can stand this more than Gene's solo album, but it's not really my cup of tea
Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions
This album is boring and drags out for way too long. Hate, Master and Slave, and Childhood's End are the best songs here, but don't do enough to salvage the rest of the album
I don't really know what it is about this album I just can't get into. On paper, it's a descent album because I do like most of the songs by themselves, but as a whole I just can't get into it
I always feel like this is just an album full of Dynasty rejects. It's not as bad as some people would have you believe, but it's far from KISS's best.
Rock and Roll Over
This is the over rated album of the classic six, except for Hard Luck Woman. I never cared for Calling Dr. Love, and most of the album tracks I could easily live without
The other majorly over rated album in the KISS discography. Revenge may have a harder edge to it than it's 5 immediate predecessors, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. Spit is one of, if not my least favorite KISS song
Music from "The Elder"
Some people love it, some people hate it, but 'm kinda right down the middle with it. It's ok lol
The title track alone is enough to lift this album over some of the albums ranked below it. My Way is a pretty nice hidden gem here too.
Considering KISS hadn't released an album in 11 years, they return with a bang with Sonic Boom, which is a pretty solid album for the most part
This is one of my favorite debut albums, and if you remove Kissin' Time, I'd have probably moved it up a spot or two lol
Hot in the Shade
This album kinda seems to fly under the radar, but it's a descent album. I think it could have been trimmed back to a 10-11 song album, but I do enjoy this one quite a bit
Creatures of the Night
COTN is overrated and underrated at the same time lol Overrated by some KISS fans who rank this album in the top 2-3, for me there are too many weak tracks for me to put it that high, but underrated because at the time of it's release, it was KISS's poorest selling album
Ace Frehley delivered an amazing solo album just one year after his vocal debut, Shock Me. Ace has written some of my favorite KISS songs (Cold Gin, Parasite, Getway) in the past so it should be no surprise
I do like Paul's album slightly (very slightly) over Ace's. Paul, IMO, is the most complete and well rounded musician, and it shows on the album
As much as I want to rank this album higher, Gene almost single handedly ruins it. 3 of Gene's 4 lead vocal songs are pitiful IMO. I love all of Paul's songs, and I even like the Peter led song Hooligan, and of course I don't think there is a KISS fan alive that doesn't like Shock Me lol
At this point, KISS is basically the Paul Stanley band, which is fine with me, because he's always been my favorite member lol This album starts off strong, but trails off by the end, ending with a few weaker tracks. I've Had Enough (Into the Fire) is one of the most underrated KISS songs of all time IMO
I've always liked this album, not really sure why lol but every time I play it I enjoy it more than I think I'm going to lol
Lick It Up
KISS takes off the make up, and deliver a great album. Exciter and And On the 8th Day are underrated KISS songs
Dressed to Kill
Despite the fact that this album was rushed, there are song of my favorite KISS songs here with Getaway, Rock Bottom, Room Service, and Anything For My Baby.
This album is so underrated lol Despite the disco flavor, I don't think there is a weak song here, and to go along with the two major hits are the amazing Ace Frehley tracks 2000 Man, Hard Times, and Save Your Love
Hotter Than Hell
KISS deliver with their sophmore effort, with classic tracks like Got To Choose, Parasite, Let Me Go Rock N' Roll, and Comin' Home. Goin' Blind is the weakest track on the album
I don't get the hate for this album, except for Eat Your Heart Out, this album rocks. I honestly wasn't expecting much when it was released, but I was pleasantly surprised
You just can't top Destroyer lol Classics like Detroit Rock City, God of Thunder, Flaming Youth, Shout It Out Loud, and Beth, mixed with my favorite KISS song King of the Night Time World...this album is just unbeatable as far as I'm concerned
