Sowing's Objective Brand New Ranking

Although every album is a 5 or 4.5 for me personally.
1Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

This sort of goes without saying. Brand New's magnum opus, pinnacle, crowning achievement - whatever you want to call it, it flat out rocks. Their lyrical maturity here is astronomical and the songwriting is unmatched. This will go down as one of the cult classics of our time. Album Ratings: Strength of Songs (92), Lyrics (100), Creativity (90), Overall Score (94). Top 5 Songs: #1 = Jesus, #2 = Limousine, #3 = Sowing Season, #4 = You Won't Know, #5 = Degausser. Least Favorite Song = Untitled.
2Brand New

Fire and fury, baby. The post-grunge elements, amped up guitars, coarse screams, and overall eeriness of this create an atmosphere unlike anything else in Brand New's Discography. The lyrics and song structures take a slight hit here, especially in the wake of following their best release, but this is still an album just about in a class of its own. It won't go down in history, but fans of this band will never forget how this album started out as a coarse disappointment and grew to warm our hearts. Album Ratings: Strength of Songs (88), Lyrics (84), Creativity (96), Overall Score (89). Top 5 Songs: #1 = Noro, #2 = Vices, #3 = Daisy, #4 = Sink, #5 = In a Jar. Least Favorite Song = Bought a Bride.
3Brand New
Science Fiction

The Brand New melting pot of albums. It combines the best traits of every release without ever revisiting their full capacity or their lowest dips. The result is the band's most consistent front-to-end album and an incredible swan song. Album Ratings: Strength of Songs (92), Lyrics (90), Creativity (80), Overall Score (87). Top 5 Songs: #1 = In The Water, #2 = Same Logic/Teeth, #3 = Lit Me Up, #4 = 137, #5 = Can't Get It Out. Least Favorite Song = No Control.
4Brand New
Deja Entendu

Brand New's coming of age album, this was their leap into maturity. There's still a heavy pop-punk presence, but this was the basis that launched their leap into darker and deeper waters. This will likely have a special place in the hearts of longtime fans and may rank a lot higher on the lists of those who preferred their lighter, acoustic-based approach. Album Ratings: Strength of Songs (86), Lyrics (92), Creativity (82), Overall Score (86). Top 5 Songs: #1 = Play Crack the Sky, #2 = Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't, #3 = Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis, #4 = Sic Transit Gloria, #5 = The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows, Least Favorite Song = Jaws Theme Swimming.
5Brand New
Your Favorite Weapon

Brand News poppest, punkiest roots. Still an underrated gem if you ask me, but it is very much their least mature recording. Compared to the genre, however, this still offers incredibly mature and sophisticated lyrics. One of those albums that would have defined your youth. Album Ratings: Strength of Songs (82), Lyrics (80), Creativity (78), Overall Score (80). Top 5 Songs: #1 = No Seatbelt Song, #2 = Soco Amaretto Lime, #3 = Seventy Times Seven, #4 = Jude Law and a Semester Abroad, #5 = Mix Tape. Least Favorite Song = Logan to Government Center.
