Why this guy doesn't get more recognition is beyond me, though I know Conor Oberst has been vocal about how he was an influence on him. I first discovered Dondero when he opened for Against Me! in Buffalo, 2007 and 16 year old me was instantly drawn to him. He was dressed like a drifter who just wandered in...I remember his guitar string breaking...and then Against Me! came on and killed it making for one of the best shows I've ever been to. |
