I had a similair thing happen with my grandpa and it upset me for awhile. Its always hard losing a loved one, but I'm sure your family will relish in their memories.
@BlackMalachite I understand the frustration with an airline as I worked for one for awhile, but things happen to ensure that everyone has a safe flight. Not trying to start an argument and its awful to hear things like this, but its out of the airlines control |

She'll soon be moving into an assisted living home. I'm afraid this will be the end for her. The idea of being independent, able to take care of oneself is so important to the will to live. |

03.13.17 | Also, its great that you were all together this past summer. What an amazing memory. When my grandpa passed last year he had it written that he wanted no funeral and instead wanted the family to have a giant party in the summer in remembrance of him, which I thought was amazing. |

Not to make this about me but my great grandmother started writing a poem when she was 80 and added a verse every year until she died at 96. She lost her husband in '98. Her verse got more and more depressing each year. She was ready to go 10 years before she did. I was expecting the day she died to feel like a a blessing for her, but instead I bawled my fucking eyes out and felt empty for months and months.
Time heals, you'll hear that a lot. It never helps, but it's true. My condolences.
