02.04.17 | And then capping this off with Boston Calling, which I had my prior list on. Pretty solid semester of shows. |
theBoneyKing
02.04.17 | I've got
Drive-By Truckers
Dawes
Hurray for the Riff Raff
Pinegrove
And maybe some other lined up.
I'm curious, are any of those shows at the Sinclair? I know 1 and 4 have shows there coming up, and I assume you're in the Boston area because of Boston Calling. |
Feather
02.04.17 | Pinegrove! I missed them a month or so back when they were playing with Kevin Devine. Still super bummed about that one. No matter how many times I learn the lesson to buy tickets early, inevitably I still miss a show or two due to sell outs.
Nope I am actually from Chicago and currently living in Columbus. I am going to Boston Calling specifically for Boston Calling because imo it was the best festival lineup of the summer. Might go to Lolla though too pending the lineup. |
theBoneyKing
02.04.17 | Ah I see, cool anyways. Hope you enjoy Boston Calling! |
Feather
02.04.17 | Are you from Boston or Boston area? If you are theres no way you're passing on that show |
DamnVanne
02.04.17 | I'm a die-hard Vanessa Carlton fan! I got a whole booth at one of the nicest Seattle venues for that show. It should be stellar! |
BAT
02.05.17 | chon's aight live, not super familiar with their discography but solid midpaced opener band for like trendier bands[i think periphery headlined]. dgd probably depends on the lineup, haven't heard them since happiness. |
elliootsmeuth
02.05.17 | Hyped for you to see 5 |
calmrose
02.05.17 | Sorority Noise was awesome when I saw them about three years ago |
Feather
02.05.17 | @Bat funny you say that because Chon is actually opening for DGD.
@DamnVanne I'm shocked if you aren't being sarcastic with me lol
@ellioot I'll let you know what I think :-)
@Calmrose Good to hear, they are the 2nd of 3 openers so its a very pleasant surprise. |
ConcubinaryCode
02.05.17 | I'm seeing Katatonia on St Patricks day |
DamnVanne
02.05.17 | I saw Chon open for Periphery last year. it was like there was a totally separate crowd there JUST to see Chon. And it was cool as fuck. |
DamnVanne
02.05.17 | Also, not sarcastic. Vanessa Carlton just put out her best album yet; that woman succeeds in layers where 'other' performers of her ilk simply warble their way into mediocrity |
Feather
02.22.17 | Had to take Modern Baseball, Sorority Noise and Kevin Devine off this list. SAD! |
Feather
05.10.17 | So I saw all of the above now!
Vanessa Carlton was surprisingly awesome, I highly suggest checking out her song Operator
CHON was good but nothing really captured me. I enjoyed it but I think I'm just not huge on instrumental artists. None the less great show.
DGD was awesome. Sound probably could have been a little better but their show was kick ass.
Lewis Del Mar I saw tonight and they were awesome, I highly suggest checking them out especially considering they are currently playing small venues, real cool
Silversun Pickups I saw for the saw for the second time and they were amazing, highly suggest for those who havn't seen them live
Mayday Parade if you have the nostalgia factor you will love it. They put on a great and super energetic show. There was a guy close by me wearing a slip knot shirt who clearly hated his life and was there with a girlfriend, but if you used to listen to them this show will not dissapoint
Knuckle puck I admittadly did not know to well, but they put on a great show. A girl got all of her front teeth knocked out in the pit which was pretty interesting. She was real upset, but clearly should not have been in the pit if she wasn't ready for it |
