the hated are particularly interesting as a gap between the rites of spring/embrace/dag nasty emocore and what would later become emo. you can REALLY hear hints of shit bands would later do in the 90's in songs like words come back.
some other great stuff not mentioned here: boilermaker, ethel meserve, and especially admiral and bob tilton

01.29.17 | Cool list dude. Ten Grand has been a favourite for a while now. Always struck me as a potential "sputnik band" in the emo and screamo department. If they didn't catch on around the time when there was an emo/skramz list every other day, and every third users favourite band was La Dispute, maybe they never will.
However, they pop up on a random list from time to time, like yours, so maybe there's still hope. |
