The Beatles - A 1971 Album

Inspired by Fripp's list where he ripped apart The White Album. Pretty much I'm creating a what could have been follow up to Let It Be by using Beatles solo career songs released no later than December 31st, 1971.
1Paul McCartney
Ram

SIDE A: “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey” - 4:49

Not making this the opener on Ram was probably a missed opportunity, so I felt it'd make a good opener here!
2George Harrison
All Things Must Pass

“My Sweet Lord” - 4:38

This one's classic and I felt like it needed to be early on the album so why not track 2?
3John Lennon
John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band

“Mother” - 3:52 (single version)

I was thinking of using Working Class Hero, but as good as it is, it wasn't very Beatlesque. This is a pretty emotional ballad for Lennon so I thought it worked better. I went with the single version because the studio has a minute of unnecessary church bells.
4Paul McCartney
Ram

“Too Many People” - 4:10

The opener to Ram still rules so track 4 seemed appropriate since it still comes off as an early album track.
5Ringo Starr
Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr

“It Don’t Come Easy” - 3:00

Ending Side A is that Ringo song that hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Seemed really necessary.
6John Lennon
Lennon Legend

SIDE B: “Cold Turkey” - 5:01

This almost was my choice for the opener, but B-side opener seemed good enough. It's one hell of a song.
7Paul McCartney
Ram

“Dear Boy” - 2:12

All Beatles albums need a cute little track and this one is a perfect choice.
8John Lennon
John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band

“Hold On” - 1:52

My favorite from the Plastic Ono album. It's so comforting.
9George Harrison
All Things Must Pass

“All Thing Must Pass” - 3:44

I feel like I'd get yelled at if I didn't include this one, so here it is in all of it's emotional glory. I know that this was written during the Abbey Road/Let It Be sessions, so damn that could have made one of those two albums.
10Paul McCartney
McCartney

“Maybe I’m Amazed” - 3:53

Another powerful song that acts as the album's big climax.
11John Lennon
Lennon Legend

“Give Peace a Chance” - 4:54

The most obvious choice for closer ever. I mean duh, right?
