Sorceress - The self-titled track off the new album is an awesome slice of retro-prog worship. The opening keyboard melody kicks ass and the stomping section that follows is heavy in all the right ways. Still can't figure out what Axe is doing there, even though it sounds so simple. |

Elysian Woes - Seriously overlooked. The vocals are beautiful, the acoustic guitars are gorgeous, and the transition at 3:15 is one of the greatest things they've ever done. |

I Feel the Dark - This song is way overlooked, and it's too bad. One of the strongest compositions on Heritage, it kicks awesomely into gear with the drums and Mikael's vocal melody is gorgeous, with the middle section bringing the gloom. |

Faith in Others - Probably Opeth's saddest song, and I don't think many would be inclined to disagree. Almost brings tears to your eyes. A beautifully fitting conclusion to Pale Communion. |

The Devil's Orchard - The song that introduced the world to un-metal Opeth. This shit blew my mind when I first heard it, it was so unexpected. All the twists and turns still hold up pretty well in 2016 and the guitar solo is one of my favorites. |
