Snide 09.27.16	The Factions, Tribes, and all of that were one of the best parts about New Vegas. I'm actually about to do a new playthrough as an NCR Sniper with mad fuckin' charisma, gun, and intellect to start off. Also just installed some graphics mods.
JoyfulPlatypus 09.27.16	The only thing better about Fallout 3 was the world. It was darker, more compact, and felt really interesting to explore. New Vegas had a cool world too, but it felt too bright and open, and too often I was just wandering through seemingly endless desert, occasionally killing a radscorpion. In just about every other aspect though, such as the tribes, gameplay, dialogue, and characters, I prefer New Vegas.

ConcubinaryCode 09.27.16	NV biggest complaint in the bugs has pretty much been ironed out too. I played 3 and NV gotye last year and I think NV was the better experience with more going on in it. Better written, better gameplay elements, better dlc, better ways to unfold the campaign. It would've only been better too if not that it wasn't rushed to meet a deadline. Plus Bethesda wouldn't give royalties to obsidian if it didn't meet a certain score on metacritic and I think they juuust missed it too. The one thing I can think NV did wrong was that it just ended once you beat it.

Mr. house is a 300 year old zombie alien?! The weapons were fantastic, battles were epic, and you could be a total dick in that game lmao. I love both games but I go back to New Vegas much more than Fallout 3. (The DLC in both games are a must)

Jeffrulesyou 09.29.16	Once NV got some mods to get rid of the bugs and when they added some DLC in NV I think it was the better experience for me to play overall. Fallout 3 was great too though and it's a close call. The real issue with Fallout 4 is it just wasn't a very good RPG, hell it was barely one. It wasn't a bad game, it was just disappointing in that regard. The gameplay was much better, but it almost felt like they streamlined it too much and forgot what made the other fallout games so great to begin with.

Every freakin' thing is brown. Even the military outfits. The Legion is also stupid as hell IMO. FO3 just had a certain charm that NV is sorely missing.
Storm In A Teacup 09.29.16	I want a New Vegas 2 with the town building system FO4 but you're preparing a newly formed New Vegas that you made independent and united all the tribes for defense and war. The lizard people that you discover are consuming the west and moving east should be a big part of the story and then the Caesar's legion somehow remnants of it. It'd be cool to have the Dead Horses be included in your tribes as well.

Ashen 09.29.16	loved the capital wasteland and the horror aspect of fo3 (dunwich, plunger room of death, etc). it's a great post-apocalyptic survival game and 'take it back' is fun as hell, at least the first few times you do it. new vegas is more true to fallout 1 and 2. hard to say which I prefer. inclined to say new vegas because the rpg aspect of the series is what gives it the most replay value/makes it the most fun for me.

Games with isometric view, next to zero voice acting and tactical combat, basically the old school model, are significantly cheaper and you can flesh out the role-playing much more. Recent examples are Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, and Torment: Tides of Numenera should be coming out soon

The combat is a lot more refined, the writing can balance both absurdly funny moments and complex power struggles, and the sidequests are fucking amazing. I also love the moral ambiguity between the four main factions/paths and all of the minor factions. My only major fault is I wish the city of New Vegas itself was a lot bigger. I'm really hoping that there's an equivalent of New Vegas for Fallout 4 in the works.
