FullOfSounds: How Objectively Do You Rate Albums?

Shadowmire 09.09.16	I try to approach things with objectivity in mind and rate based on perceived quality and value, but perception is inherently subjective. Any way you look at it, my ratings reflect my tastes and nothing will change that. From my point of view, though, the primary subjective factor in my ratings is a ~0.5 difference based on how emotionally affective a release was for me.

porcupinetheater 09.09.16	Yeah but see facts don't exist when you're judging art, there's only personal interpretation and the individual connection to the music. Trying to pretend otherwise just does a disservice to yourself and undercuts the validity of your own opinion as a personal truth, when that's the closest to truth you can ever get in this sort of thing.

MistaCrave 09.10.16	I guess I'm inherently elite as fuck considering my objectivity is fairly high but I don't even factor in objectivity when I'm rating. I basically just rate something based on how much I enjoy listening to it, nothing more.
