Back to School Digs
rip summer: whenever it started - wednesday |
1 | | Willie Nelson Stardust
-Standards- Potential 5: Some of the dreamiest melodies on earth, and Nelson's soft vocals just help elevate it into the perfect night time album. 4.5/5 |
2 | | Townes Van Zandt Townes Van Zandt
-Country/Folk- Wouldve been a 5, but the final track felt like a terrible afterthought for a perfect album. Some of the most feelsy, quotable country music on earth. 4.5/5 |
3 | | Monoral Petrol
-Alt Rock- Very alternative rock band from Japan with english lyrics. Their sound is incredibly solid with enough fuzz and delving in other genres to make them stand out quite a bit. 4/5 |
4 | | Unbelievable Truth Almost Here
-Brit Rock- Slow moving and emotional brit rock that is painfully underrated. 4/5 |
5 | | Pixies Indie Cindy
-Alt Rock- My first Pixies album :') 2.5/5 |
6 | | Yanagi Nagi Euaru
-J Pop- RATING BUMP from a previous 4. This album is simply the perfect blend of electronic, pop, and rock. And for a double album, thats rare. 4.5/5 |
7 | | Tori Kelly Unbreakable Smile

11 | | Lil Uzi Vert The Perfect Luv Tape
-Hip Hop- For such a cool album cover this is sure the most basic rap album I've heard all year... until Lupe drops his next record I suppose. 2/5 |
12 | | Daniela Andrade Shore
-Pop- Surprised people didnt love this one as much. Quiet and refined, a little more sophisticated pop music with a nice touch of cute. Perfect for me. 4/5 |
13 | | Blind Pilot And Then Like Lions
-Indie Folk- Really surprised to like this one. Lyrics bring on massive feels and the performance, while solemn, lends itself to some outstanding instrumental passages. 4.5/5 |

17 | | Wild Beasts Boy King
-Indie Pop- Its a great record, though I don't know if their vocalist really sells the sound they're aiming for. Ah well, its fun enough. 3.5/5 |

21 | | Saul Williams MartyrLoserKing
-Rap- Not the best effort from Saul, but still a nice dosage of weird and sophisticated glitchy goodness that only Saul can provide. 3.5/5 |
22 | | Saul Williams Amethyst Rock Star
-Rap- The debut from Saul remains as an excellent showcase of his production and songwriting skills. Its just interesting to hear this guy talk his way through each track. 4/5 |
23 | | Black Atlass Young Bloods
-Trip Hop- yawn. 2.5/5 |
24 | | Big L Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous
-Rap- *taxi driver joke ive made 4 times here* 4/5 |
25 | | Tom Jones Delilah
