| Rec Me Live Albums like you Attended that Show
For reference check this list out: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1034848&listid=167257 | 1 | | Joy Division Preston 28 February 1980
I will put up anyone's recs and unlike Bilbo, as long as I haven't heard it I will still check it out.
So be creative! Act like you actually participated in this show. "When Ian cuts the performance of Heart and Soul short and yelled 'Oi everything is fucking bust, we've olayed wverything thru the bass amp now!' was insane! It really went to show how passionate and aggressive this particular show was, even for Joy Division. The best part of the show, though, was when Ian, amid foguring out how to fix the technical problems, Ian asked "any requests?" and I yelled out "SHADOWPLAY" and so that was the next song they played! | 2 | | Nirvana Live and Loud
If there is a DVD or actual footage of this show, feel free to incorporate any audience participation as your own.
Guy: "I hate MTV!"
Kurt: "Then why are you here?" | 3 | | Mayhem Dawn of the Blackhearts
Be creative, this was a concept I've had in mind for a long time and I'm very excited! | 4 | | David Bowie Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture
Also, feel free to rec as many as you want. Hell you can rec a great live album and a not so great live one.
"The show was very disappointing. All Bowie did was show off his white biy thighs and butcher every vocal performance. Worst was when he butchered my fav song 'Ziggy Stardust' singing the lyrics completely out of time and obviously just going through the motions. Mick was an incredible guitarist tho. The performance of The Width of A Circle was the best thing in the entire setlist and may even be better than the studio version" | 5 | | John Coltrane The Olatunji Concert: The Last Live Recording
Boi, let me tell you sumthin. Coltrane and the gang put on quite the farewell concert. I was visiting New York at the time, and boy let me tell you, they put on a show. It was spectacular, no lie. Alice, Ali, Sanders, and Garrison tore that shit up. The drums were just out of control man, And the solos~ ah, the solos! Some of their best. And what made this all the more special was that this was his final performance before passing later that year. What a way to go out, amiright? Damn, I wish you coulda been there man, it was tightttt.
tl;dr I banged a dude at this concert. 5/5
-SandwhichBubble | 6 | | The Mothers of Invention Roxy & Elsewhere
It was 1974, my time machine had broken down and I needed to find Doc Brown to fix it and then it hit me! I could see Frank Zappa live in concert! So I payed for a show (since it was super cheap back then.) Frank Zappa, George Duke, Ruth Underwood, Napoleon Murphy Brock, and Chester Thompson were all on stage as Zappa started his famous Penguin in Bondage. It hit me again! This was one of the famous Roxy & Elsewhere concerts! To see Ruth preform the marimba part to "Pygmy Twylyte" was just magical. The "Dummy Up" skit was even funnier in person. Doc Brown could wait, this would be the concert of my life.
