Klaus Johann Grobe's Spagat der Liebe and NAO's For All We Know Now are my favorite pop albums for the time being that came out this year (Former's a new wavy "chillwave" disco-y kinda thing, latter's a buncha R&B songs that got like a new jack swing-vibe but in a time where people like FKA Twigs a bunch)
La Roux's self titled and Trouble in Paradise for more new wavy stuff
Squeeze's trio of great albums (Cool for Cats, Argybargy, and East Side Story) if you happen to like Skylarking, same beatlesy kinda camp imo
They Might Be Giants' self-titled if d.i.y. pop perfection interests you
Kesha's Warrior and One Direction's Midnight Memories if you're like fuck the haters and want to listen to just some good ol' dumbass pop (Warrior is at least one of my personal favs in the past years)
Go Team's Thunder Lightning Strike and Beach House's stuff if indie pop junk interests you
Big Star's Radio City for good ol power pop
