Good Deathcore Bands You Haven't Heard

Good Deathcore is an oxymoron, right? Well, that's true for the most part. But like every genre, there are some hidden gems worth checking out if you enjoy death metal. This list strives to accomplish what previous ones have: getting lesser-known artists out in the open and sharing music. if you got recs, feel free to drop them in the comments. DISCLAIMER: If you do not like deathcore you may become upset and attack your keyboard. i cannot be held responsible! If you're a deathcore purist (lol) you might also disagree with some picks. Gonna have to roll with it.
1Ascariasis
Ocean Of Colour

Deathcore fused with technical death metal. Features beautiful, melodic riffs and surprisingly intricate bass play. The final track is one of the best the entire genre has to offer.
2Ovid's Withering
Scryers of the Ibis

I'm stretching things by including these guys here. They're the most well-known on here without a doubt and have certainly earned their praises already. But more can't hurt! A crushing combination of heavy deathcore and well-placed symphonic elements.
3Shadow of the Colossus
End Game

My personal favorite deathcore album of all time. It places melody above breakdowns and stereotypical chugs, really diversifying each song, accompanying them with some of the most poetic lyrics I've ever heard. An energy-packed record that perfectly balances brutality with engaging guitar parts.
4Zygoma
The Forgotten

An amalgamation of deathcore with math elements. Think of a deathcore-like Dillinger Escape Plan. The atmosphere here is very well done and there are some great instrumental parts here.
5Assemble The Chariots
World Architects

Another deathcore album that prominently features symphonic elements. Their debut is good, but on this release they really perfect their sound.
6Genocide of Prescription
Genesis

This one's a hard sell. It's definitely guilty of crazy technical death metal guitar wankery--the very same that many people despise. However, it fits very well with the heavy, chaotic music, and the trackers don't suffer from stagnation or a loss of originality.
7Point Below Zero
Point Below Zero

A superb blend of great technicality with deathcore. When this band broke up, some members went on to form the progressive metal group The Helix Nebula. If you've heard them, then you should brace yourself for some impressive instrument performances.
8Delta
Voyage

Straightforward, heavy, chugging deathcore. You'd think it would be awful, but it's pulled off in such a way that you're not bored or frustrated.
9Hedonistic Exility
Deevolutional Stasis

Same as above, but with added technical elements. Like Genesis, this one's a hard sell, but you might end up enjoying it. It's really fucking heavy, if that helps.
10Necropia
Necropia

More death metal-oriented deathcore. Features technical elements and more melodic elements.
11Kingdoms Burn
Succession

This album could have been great, but it's unfortunately held back by a noticeably weaker first half. Once track 5 kicks in, you're in for a hell of a ride. These guys have a lot of potential.
12Still Falling
The Three Suns

This is another stretch for this list. It's more like progressive death metal, but you can pick out some deathcore influences lurking about. It's a short album and worth a listen--it's got some really great guitar melodies.
