12.05.15 | Great list, I usually prefer sonatas and symphonies, but the half way between solo instrumentation and full-blown orchestral work offered by concertos is something I should really delve into a bit more.
That being said, I absolutely love Stravinsky's violon Concerto for piano and winds, and his "Ebony concerto", although that last one is a sort of experimentation incorporating jazz compositional elements
All three of Bartok's piano concertos are astounding and interesting as well
