11.23.15 | @Frip I use your typical AUX cable that I plug from my receiver's headphone jack into my laptop's mic port and rip with Audacity as well (the headphone jack on the receiver is one of those big ones so I use an adapter to get the 3.5mm aux cable to fit). |
Frippertronics
11.23.15 | okay, I never thought to connect it from the headphone port. I read that you need a 3.5" RCA to headphone or whatever and have that but I'll have to try your way out |

11.23.15 | If you do it that way you'd be going directly from your TT to your computer wouldn't you? That would mean no amplification being done to the signal |
Frippertronics
11.23.15 | no, I did it from the receiver but it didn't work |

11.23.15 | Which output was it leaving from? |
Frippertronics
11.23.15 | I had it on the second "tape" output (my receiver doesn't exactly have a phono output, so I have to use the tape output for the turntable |

11.23.15 | I'm not sure I'm following. You plug your tt into the tape input but then which output do you use for the received to the computer to carry the tts signal? |
Frippertronics
11.23.15 | okay let me just clarify because I just realized I wasn't doing it right in the first place. I had the RCA part of the wiring plugged into the second tape input which means I wasn't getting a signal so therefore I wasn't doing it right in the first place. Does your way w/ the AUX cord give it good quality at least? |
SCREAM!
11.23.15 | You have to be careful how loud you aet your received but it does a good job |
Frippertronics
11.24.15 | sounds like I know what I'll be doing after work tomorrow
