10.21.15 | This is more of a musical "standing in place" rather a "evolution"
Just saying :/ |

10.22.15 | So basically there is three parts.
I started with pop-punk and then got into mainstream music I thought was super heavy but it wasn't and still listened to some pop. I thought death metal and prog was too overboard at the time.
Then I got into some progressive metal with Periphery I being the first ever harsh album I liked. Then Inanimate Existence was the first full on death metal album I liked. So I was jamming death metal and virtuoso stuff. And got to the more melodic side of the genre.
Then I finally got into more black metal and doom metal type stuff along with still doing the more extreme side of the metal genre.
The first part of the list I was middle school through high school ending with #39.
The rest from there is college.
So yea I could have ordered it better to illustrate that I didn't get into black metal till just recently but I didn't want it to take too long.

10.22.15 | 78 must feel so lonely and cold, probably the other ones are bullying 78 as I write, hugeeely out of place. |
Dmax28
10.22.15 | Yea I wrote in the description that should have been earlier in the list but there is no way to do that without deleting everything before. What can I say I wasn't so organized and I didn't want to take that long to do this.. |
ChopSuey
10.22.15 | Ey not too shabby. I still enjoy the music I discovered back in middle school. Is that a good thing? Idk, but either way it is what it is............ |

10.22.15 | I am def open to recs of any genre.
this website and bandcamp really blew open my perception of how much great music is out there. Just wish the community was a little more chill haha. and there doesn't seem to be any site at all like sputnik. i search for similar ones and the ones i find seem like jokes |
Calc
10.22.15 | this site is kind of a joke honestly. |
Dmax28
10.22.15 | Yea I have been sort of disillusioned by this site, especially how so many are so confrontational about something as subjective as music haha. But it is still really helpful in finding new music, has cool features, and is nicely organized. You know any good music sites?
bandcamp is pretty sweet. |
Calc
10.22.15 | people go to rateyourmusic, I don't partake but judging through the people here that use it (except chipmunk) it's way worse. |

Dmax28
10.22.15 | Haha Calc then I'm not sure I will check it out too seriously :P
Yea I am into all of these albums still, just don't listen to some of them much. But I've listened to Alcest recently. Thanks for the recs guys! Melodic metal is prob the only thing I like more than brutal metal and the black metal/doom side has become a big part of that. |
Cygnatti
10.22.15 | 91 saves this list tbh so good job. :] |
BlueandOrange

10.16.21 | Nifty list idea. The first 28 here remind me of my coworkers taste. He's 28 and I've known him since kindergarten and I recall him owning every Creed album when we were children. He had Conkers Bad Fur Day when we were in elementary school so sadly I heard a lot of Creed when I was young lol |
