10.05.15 | Dio on vocals, Lord on keys, Entwistle on bass, Gilmour on guitar and Powell on drums |
ZombicidalMan
10.05.15 | I don't see aaron's vocal style mixing with scott's very well, and I also feel like brann is way too active a drummer for the sludge they'd put out. all talented musicians and some of my favourites, but their styles clash imo
also did you throw deftones in for fun? because bryant clifford meyer and noah landis are much better than frank |
MyNameIsPencil
10.05.15 | See I disagree, I think they'd be able to find a middle ground, and Brann is a talented enough drummer to go a bit slower than usual and it'd still sounds just fine.
But I won't deny Frank was thrown in due to not being able to think of anyone better. |
climactic
10.05.15 | you lost me at 4 |
Snake.
10.05.15 | Gregory Dunn [Moving Mountains] - vocals, guitar
Hayley Williams [Paramore] - vocals
Steve Holmes [American Football] - lead guitar
Dan Didier [The Promise Ring] - drums
John Galm [Snowing] - bass |

10.05.15 | Agreed on 4 |
ZombicidalMan
10.05.15 | brann uses a child-sized kit and still drums like he just snorted coke off his snare. I don't believe he can slow down.
just jam neurosis, they're better than any supergroup anyways m/ |
MyNameIsPencil
10.05.15 | They feed off tears |
Rowan5215
10.05.15 | Dustin Kensrue Jesse Lacey Geoff Rickly Daryl Palumbo and idk some guys on other instruments |

10.05.15 | Fite me |
MyNameIsPencil
10.05.15 | Fite me [2]. In all honesty I just thought it'd be fun to think of... Kind of also hoping to hear others ideas too but eh |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
10.05.15 | nah Joe Lester is a fantastic bassist but i agree otherwise because lmfao brann dailor lmfao |
MyNameIsPencil
10.05.15 | He's a great drummer though. Zombi did make a good point about him being a really active drummer but even then |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
10.05.15 | he's a dreadful drummer the dude has no chill, he sacrifices every semblance of style and dynamism in favour of bombast and shallow technicality, drummers like that are often the shittiest of all time and seem to play solely in shitty metal bands like btbam and mastodon |
MyNameIsPencil
10.05.15 | I do remember hearing about an alleged U2 + Kanye West supergroup... That would have been dumb |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
10.05.15 | yeah Caxide is a legend of bass but fuck licks like at ~1:00 into Literal Black Cloud by Intronaut make me really love that guy
seeing them live too made me appreciate him a lot more too as a lot of the time the bass and drums on that album take the back seat just because the guitars are so crunchy and distracting |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
10.05.15 | and again at ~3:00 into that song like that is legitimately one of the greatest bass licks of all time |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
10.05.15 | [quote]He needs to learn to be tasteful, he doesn't have to be in the spotlight 100% of the time.[/quote]
that entire band is often just a painfully awkward power struggle for control of centre stage |
MyNameIsPencil
10.05.15 | The dude from Gospel also came to mind but he hasn't done anything since The Moon is a Dead World so, which is such a fucking shame |
ZombicidalMan
10.05.15 | I'm liking the negative feedback in this thread |
DatsNotDaMetulz
10.05.15 | Mine would just be a few genre mashing geniuses:
JP Anderson [Rabbit Junk, The Shizit, The Named, Fighting Ice With Iron, Wolves Under Sail, occasional collab w/ Cyanotic] - vocals, additional guitar+keys/programming
Devin Townsend [Strapping Young Lad, Steve Vai, solo] - vocals, lead guitar
Mitch Harris [Napalm Death, Menace, Meathook Seed, Defecation] - rhythm guitar
Trevor Dunn [Mr Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3, Tomahawk] - bass
Iggor Cavalera [Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy, Nailbomb, Mixhell] - drums, percussion
Probably could use a better and more versatile drummer but just can't think of one atm. But all have a common link (industrial - save for Dunn) with more than enough capacity to branch out into all sorts of extreme genres |
trve
10.05.15 | james kelly (altar of plagues) - vocals
toby driver (motW, kayo) - guitar
jon theodore (mars volta) - drums
couldnt care less about the second guitarist and bassist because toby would take over songwriting duties anyways, kayo dots surrealistic style with james tortured screams from theethed glory would give an awesome combination... could also be interesting to see jon playing for a metal band, p sure he would fit in perfectly |
Sinternet
10.05.15 | I'd chuck Moby, Basement Jaxx, Mr Scruff and Mr Oizo in a room and see what happens tbh |

Paul Masvidal (Cynic) - Lead guitar
