09.23.15 | Still life probably, doesn't drag as hard as bwp |
MotoOnSputnik
09.23.15 | Still Life for the atmosphere and overall album cohesion, BWP for individual tracks. They sort of line up with Lateralus and Aenima in the same way, with Lateralus being a more fully realized album, and Aenima having more songs that are good on their own. |

09.23.15 | I've never understood the crazy hype for either album, but they're both pretty good. BWP all the way, though. Still Life feels like individual sections in songs are good, but a lot of them just never click altogether for me. BWP's a little better in that regard. |
Funeralopolis
09.23.15 | because still life is haunting, has great atmosphere, genuine emotion, next level songwriting where riffs repeat but never overstay their welcome every member of the band greatly contributes to the story, emotion and feel of the album. The soft/heavy transitions are absolutely seamless and feel completely inspired. Many excellent riffs, incredible vocals and absolutely breathtaking moments. |

09.23.15 | Still life for me, the concept is excellent, the atmosphere, and the compositions are top notch. Though Blackwater Park is awesome, it has more down points than Still Life. |

09.23.15 | @ Aftertheascension
Each successive album got steadily less adventurous and more boring. Once BWP hit, it became so formulaic. Maybe it's because MAYH was my first exposure to the band when it first came out and I worked my way backwards. |
Aftertheascension
09.23.15 | Lmfao static I almost didn't notice
@hellpriest fair enough, I just disagree because I'm a helpless fanboy of bwp. |

still life's second half simply doesn't do it for me
|
bnelso55
09.23.15 | Still Life's concept, composition, and atmosphere produce a sort of folktale-like quality, which I appreciate. The consistent presentation of the storyline also helps the album function well as a unit. That said, I think some of Blackwater Park's individual moments have a greater emotional effect on me. |
EyesWideShut
09.23.15 | Still Life
but Ghost of Perdition is their best song |

09.23.15 | Orchid was them just copy-pasting guitar riff sections together tho. On their later stuff they actually wrote *songs*. |
