I made a top 2014 list before. But, I've listened to many good albums from 2014 this year, so, I decided to prepare a new one. Hope I won't change it again, but I'll I know.

Alcest is a very successful band to combine black metal influences with shoegazing/post metal. And, with this release, the band decided
to get rid of all metal influences. "Shelter" is a fresh shoegaze/dream-pop album that takes your soul to a peaceful place (maybe near the ocean). I choose this one as the best
record of 2014 because what Alcest created is like a miracle for me. It heals me every time I listen to it. Soundtrack of my whole year!
