Recs Please and Thanks

Hey guys, I'm exploring some more bands and genres to get more into depth to. I've also been working on some poetry and trying to get better at guitar and vocals because I've been more inspired to try and make some music recordings of my own. The kind of sound I'm going for is kind of lo-fi, psychedelic folk, a few buzzing electric guitars as well. All the beats in the mix will be comprised of simple household objects or patting my hands on a table. Been experimenting and in the future I'll probably put some stuff on soundcloud for some feedback from everyone, I've never actually made music before but it's a ton of fun to just get into it and fuck around with. Anyway, I wanted to try and get some recommendations for the sound I'm going for. Anything like psychedelic pop, some garage rock, some acid folk, anything like that would be great to look up and get inspired. Preferably more modern bands tho. Anything you guys know is very appreciated. Also if anyone has any recording techniques or advice that would be a lot of help too!

3Grizzly Bear

4Interpol
Turn on the Bright Lights

Not psychedelic of course, but it'd kind of have a post-punk feel in the vocals and sarcasic, witty lyrical matter. My voice is not soft and high pitched. It's more like if jim morrison was doing a lullaby or some shit.
5My Morning Jacket
The Waterfall
6Ty Segall
Manipulator
7Donovan
A Gift From A Flower To A Garden
8Portugal. The Man
Evil Friends
9Nick Drake
Pink Moon

Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon

Might be the closest thing I'm shooting for genre wise perhaps, but with more of an edge. Thicker vocals and a darker yet poppy atmosphere.
