Avenged Sevenfold Ranked

Looking back at a band I liked about 5 years ago
6Avenged Sevenfold
Hail to the King

1.5. This album is pretty bad. It's literally a crappy Metallica tribute album. I just heard it for the first time a few weeks ago. Wish I hadn't. The bonus track St. James is kind of enjoyable, i guess. More than the other songs.
5Avenged Sevenfold
Sounding the Seventh Trumpet

2.0. It just sounds really sloppily recorded and put together. As well as the fact that what got me into the band back then was Synyster Gates, who only appears on the opening track.

Avenged Sevenfold

2.5. It's not horrible, but it's a huge step down from what they did before. I liked it a lot when I first heard it (I was like 14. What else do you expect). But now, there are like 3 okay songs. Brompton Cocktail is pretty cool though.
3Avenged Sevenfold
Nightmare

3.0. It's definitely darker than their previous record. There are a lot of songs on the album that drag it down, because it's filled with a lot of bland ballad type songs. On the contrary, songs such as God Hates, Natural Born Killer, and the title track are still pretty good, even after 5 years of liking them.
2Avenged Sevenfold
City of Evil

3.5. Even though I really don't like Avenged Sevenfold that much anymore, this album is still pretty good. Of course, it would be better if M Shadows' voice wasn't so awful on it. M.I.A. is still a good song. The singles bore me a lot now though.
1Avenged Sevenfold
Waking the Fallen

4.0. This is the only album from the band that I still listen to. It's pretty great overall. Chapter Four, I Won't See You Tonight (Pt. 1/2), and Second Heartbeat were gateways for me to get into heavier and better music. Unlike some of their others, this is still a good album.
