Albums That Are Important To Me

Just albums that are important to me, not necessarily music I like just have some significance to me. No particular order. And also share the albums that you deem important to you.
1The Receiving End of Sirens
The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi

This has been my favourite album for around four years. A place I escape to.
2Pedro The Lion
Control

Just a beautifully melancholy album. Cynicism has never sounded so good. Found
out about this record from an interview with TREOS singer/bassist Brendan Brown.
3Escape The Fate
Dying Is Your Latest Fashion

One of my best friends from college loved this album.
4The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die
Whenever, If Ever

I really beautiful post-rock/emo record. Synthetic nostalgia
5La Dispute
Wildlife

My ex loved this record. Reminds me of a time we hung out a park and I read
some of their lyrics. Don't know if it was very romantic or anything but meh. Great
album too.
6Acceptance
Phantoms

This and Mayday Parade remind me of a time when I hung out with my brother
more. Was nice. Going for runs probably not so much but it's probably the closest
I've ever felt to my brother.
7Addison
To the Ends of the Earth

Great local band. I saw them twice. The hardcore scene in Bay of Plenty used to be
pretty awesome. Go to concerts most months was really great.
8 Ember Days
Finger Painting

Saw this band live, closest I've ever felt to a higher power.
9American Football
American Football

Good album.
10Animals As Leaders
Weightless

Have a friend who loves rhythms this record always reminds me of him.
11The Antlers

Prove to me I'm not going to die alone. This was the record one of best friends
played in celebration of her finishing her degree.
12As Cities Burn
Come Now Sleep

Made me okay with doubting my faith my beliefs my everything. Amazing
cathartic record.
13As I Lay Dying
An Ocean Between Us

for doing that.

Take The World But Give Me Jesus

Only worship I actually really like.
15At The Drive In
Relationship of Command

Another good album.
16Athletics
Why Aren't I Home?

This was the record I cried to a lot. Yay.
17Barrow
Though I'm Alone

This is the record I find solace in when I'm down. Such beautifully dense and
crushing affair.
18The Blood Brothers
Young Machetes

Really inspired me to let go with poetry a bit more. Explore with textures of
description and the like without worrying about making much sense.

Daisy

Dense and wonderful. Reminds me of when I lived at home.
20 Bright Eyes
Lifted or the Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground

Raw and impenetrable.

least.
