Lil Wayne

Seems to be frequently dismissed among music circles. Here's other rappers' thoughts on rWayne, he gets a lot of praise. Are people too hard on him? Is it just that he's become rextremely poppy, so it's easy to ignore whatever rap skill he may have? Albums are digs.

Storm In A Teacup 10.15.14	Overall discography 2.5/5 First couple albums I thought sucked then he became a "walking billboard" of rap during the start he made a few good ones (Tha Carter, Tha Carter II, then he made a couple bad ones then a mixture of bad or average albums. Mix tapes likes No Ceilings and Dedication 2 were the last few good mixtapes. Especially those two. Haven't heard Tha Carter 5 though if it's out.

grish 10.15.14	he has some pretty great mixtapes. one of his 'problems' is that he doesn't change it up much, his stuff is all pretty similar. and the subject matter of his lyrics might bother people/cause them to lose interest. but i'd say he still has skill regardless of his image/specific content, which is probably why MCs generally like him and 'music nerds' or whatever may not. @capncrunch dr carter is good stuff, i'll check the others
