FourthDyke 07.31.14	the conjuring was ok the end got ridiculous tho, i really dont have any recs because as you said nothing has really scared me since i was a youngin. that 9/11 documentary about the people jumping off the towers is probably the most frightening thing ive seen recently
wwf 07.31.14	The Exorcist scared me good. Blair Witch was kinda scary but when I rewatched it it didn't bother me at all. The Shining is really creepy. The Silence of The Lambs can be very unnerving, especially the ambulance scene. The Descent is claustrophobic as fuck and gave me nightmares. And The Thing and Alien aren't exactly scary, more just incredibly good at racking up tension, which is just as good.

Insurrection 07.31.14	the texas chainsaw massacre is the only movie that really terrified me, and i was like 18 when i first saw it. it stuck with me for days. the thing i first saw when i was like 9 and it disturbed me then but now i just see it as a really good horror movie, not necessarily scary the conjuring, 1408, the descent, the others, youre next, and cabin in the woods are great recent horror movies. havent seen the new purge which looks good but the first one sucked ass

Calc 07.31.14	VHS 1 and 2 were very entertaining agreed, the whole Taiwanese cult thing on VHS 2 in particular was so damn awesome.
Insurrection 07.31.14	the first one started out good but got worse and worse until the end when it just fell flat. the second one looks a lot more interesting and yeah the VHS movies are great. also event horizon and session 9 (i think they took s9 off netflix but event horizon is still there)

wwf 07.31.14	I was stoked for You're Next but honestly I thought the straight up horror scenes were better than the scenes that were supposed to be funny. Cabin In The Woods was hilarious though And yeah, the cult part of VHS2 was great

Insurrection 07.31.14	youre next is like the ideal home invasion thriller. the best one ive seen at least as far as paranormal horror goes i dont think it gets any better than 1408, although the conjuring came pretty damn close. oh, and the original the haunting. that shit was harrowing
